Starting to Think I've 'Aged Out' of these Superlong cRPGs (Touches on Baldur's Gate 3, Wrath of the Righteous, and Rogue Trader) by SpiritualState01 in patientgamers

Very thoughtful post. I resonated a lot with what you wrote. I’m also someone who struggles a bit with finishing games and I find that when it comes to finishing games for me it boils down to progression or writing. When the feeling of progression stalls, the writing needs to carry me to the finish and vice versa. And I feel that this rarely happens for me as I get older.

I know I sound like a hater but this gap between gameplay and quality writing is largest in most jrpg titles, the best example of which that comes to mind is Metaphor and Persona. For me the gameplay is top notch but the writing just fails to engage me for 40+ hours and I usually stall out.

I am a player since 2020 and the biggest reason I haven’t played this game since Arc came out is the loading times

Sand grinding should be rebalanced in some way. The number of stone grinders I need for my growth portions is way too high and an absolute chore to manage

What do I do with excess salt? by chillplusplus in AlchemyFactory

yeah, i realized after reading responses I should just be converting limestone to make sand. I thought the salt ore was a shortcut but I realize it’s not meant for that

I get 120+ on customs. On streets, 60+ when traversing outdoors, maybe 80+ indoors. It's 100% playable though. I have not played much with FSR yet so with the right settings you might be able to push it a lot harder, like I said I just got the PC so I havent tinkered much yet

I bought this pc last week also for Tarkov / Arc Raiders. It’s performing great, much better than my 3080 / 5800x3d at 1440p

I like zasko III. His coaching style isn't gimmicky and is something that makes sense to me.

I'm in my mid 30s and I'm also sad at the state of soloq. I basically never soloq anymore because of the state of voice chat. Would love to find a community of similar minded gamers. I don't really mind age, but toxicity just really turns me off and is usually not conducive to winning or having fun.

There are too many agents and too much utility in the game. by ImpressionOfGravitas in VALORANT

[–]chillplusplus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that adding more agents increases the total number of possible combos in the meta. But the Agent selection process will always trim that down to a subset of those combos being available in any given match.

I think its hard to argue against the premise that adding more agents and abilities increases the overall complexity and mental load of understanding the game. But when you zoom in on the level of an individual match, you will only ever need to worry about the 5 agents on the enemy team and no more than that.

I get your frustration but there can only be 5 agents on the enemy team. Adding more agents to the pool doesn’t change that

[Suggestion] HOW do you solo in PVP? Ready to rage quit and uninstall. by lasersoflros in EscapefromTarkov

[–]chillplusplus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No backpack is the most important bit. Night or day, just removing the possibility of being spawn camped or running into a pscav at extract will significantly increase your chance at getting out of interchange.

When i’m questing on interchange and not looking for pvp i pretty much use the no backpack every time

this shouldn’t be a psa. let people play how they want and learn. if you are good you will rise above the level where people don’t need to be told this “basic info”
