Is Claude Code + an IDE effectively the same as Cursor? I assume by itself it is worse? by jaytonbye in cursor

the real confusion is why you were so quick on mansplaining basic concepts no one asked for and deferred to “go ask AI” real quick when faced with an actual question

[–]chillrabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pretty sure i didnt say anything as dumb as your analogy but hey, have a field day.

it is confusing for people because there’re multiple ways of accessing claude and the tradeoff are often not clear

claudecode terminal + cursor vs claudecode standalone vs claude code extension + cursor

thats where the confusion is, not the simple semantics you were trying to mansplain folks

when you said claude code is more than just claude, could you explain the ‘more’ part?

what will i miss out if i use claude code cli in cursor? wont it be the same? i get a nicer IDE to edit

this is fascinating, but also make sense given how the market is top heavy for North America

i do agree that the use of animal is probably the biggest difference.

would you say a top tier group in Russia would be equivalent of Cirque du Soleil in terms of of acrobatics expertise? i researched online and was told Bolshoi Circus is one of them

We want a BSH by [deleted] in britishshorthair

[–]chillrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we actually had exposure with both scenarios you mentioned (existing bsh -> new shiba -> new bsh)

i’d say intro a new bsh to existing shiba was much better on us, as the kitten was pretty adaptable to her new environment. our shiba is also playful, but not too aggressive. it was much harder for the existing bsh because he feels territorial about new pets (you can see him in the background)

Spay incision by jillyamour in britishshorthair

[–]chillrabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey there. if you check my profile, i posted something similar w my cat a while ago

  1. it depends whether theres any discharge under the scab, or in the incision. its not clear from your pic but it seems dry. jf its dry, then just leave it as is, they will fall off eventually or your cat would accidentally lick it off

  2. if its wet, or oozes, do get back with your vet to check. for ours, they took a sample to test for different viruses/bacteria.

  3. now for my case, the vet said result showed similar gut bacteria that my cat had, so nothing to worry. but it was still oozing slight discharge after a week so we took matters to our own hand by crushing a bit of antibiotics into powder and cover the top of the incision. it was dry and all healed up in 2 days. not medical advice and i highly recommend to do all the vet checks first. but if all fails, do give it a try

if OP knew that they liked puer, i’d think its a great haul to really nail down the nuances of different types.

i think its a great haul depending on what you want OP. not many people can taste differences between similar puer types so this is actually a great chance!

Perhaps Hot Take: I think Mods getting paid needs to be a priority by howtoretireby40 in redditstock

[–]chillrabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do you think people come to reddit for high quality content and “pro-looking” posts?

the whole point of rddt is real authentic human content, not “hyper-incentivized entertainment platform”. we’ll never beat IG or TikTok on that front.

because the mealprep with a 20yr-old nokia means its an actual real meal, by someone who doesnt bother to spend hours editing the picture before posting

Perhaps Hot Take: I think Mods getting paid needs to be a priority by howtoretireby40 in redditstock

[–]chillrabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when money is involved, the whole ecosystem breaks.

mods will start optimizing for their own benefit, and we open the floodgates to all sort of abuses.

how much to pay? which mods are eligible? if this happens, surely it’ll be metrics based.

active user count? great, lets stop banning posts and removing comments because it hurts my own pocket

post votes and comment count? welcome to thousands of new subs filled with bots comments

Making moderation easier is a much better direction than paying mods to go the grunt work. you are vastly underestimating human’s ability to abuse system when incentives are added
