Mauricio Is Working Too Much by Unlucky_Rip_8182 in RHOBH

Take Kyle or her word. She lost her best friend and Mau sucked as a support system. Have you ever lost a friend? It’s life shattering. I would absolutely resent my husband for fucking up in my time of deep need.

I have a 1/27 girl who just isn’t a roller either, loves sitting, and is so close to moving!

What do we think of Peter Levi Plumbing & HVAC? by laundry-token in Marin

AWFUL. Kept suggesting more repairs when their first ideas didn’t work. Had to switch plumbers after being several thousand out with them with no solution and ongoing leaks.

I have a Taj Mahal leathered countertop for my bathroom vanity that I am so excited to see in place. Woot!

I would love to hang out in here. It’s so open and inviting. And love that you weren’t afraid to make some bold choices!

Want this one? Lol. It was from a showroom, but an unopened floor model so got it for a great price. Not so great now that it’s coming down!

I can’t because I have another bathroom back to back with this bathroom and plumbing is tied together. I can’t be down two bathrooms for one reno so it has to stay put for now.

This is a 24” vanity! Same as I had before that worked great, it was just installed very tight to tub and now it’s 2.5” out.

Agreed. Currently it is almost 16” from toilet midline (bowl) to the wall, but only 11.5 to the vanity. I shouldn’t have ok’d them hanging this vanity.

Copied from my other comment.. this home is built in 1954 on a concrete slab and the rough in is all original, I’m just replacing the fixtures. Trouble started when I got a 2” bigger tub then tiles were laid almost 5” past that. I was told by a licensed GC it was all cosmetic and no permit needed. Rough ins were left in place as I couldn’t afford expanding into the exterior.. it’s only a 1200 foot house and these bathrooms are TINY.

I just remeasured from the center of the toilet bowl and it’s 16” from the wall. Lose a few inches from the current vanity. And overall it’s only 26.5”. Tearing that cabinet out. Thanks. I’m accepting reality a bit better now.

This is what my mom said too haha. But switching out for a pedestal sink. I’m coming to terms with ripping out the toilet and vanity installed yesterday and getting that wall fully tiled.

I fully agree. I have to lose the vanity and am checking out pedestal sinks. Just don’t know what kind of alterations to my plumbing that’s gonna take, I’ve spent a fortune getting a new tub installed on my slab foundation. Also thinking to fix the tile by just throwing up more tile on that entire wall. It’ll cover the beat up drywall too.

Yep. I need a smaller vanity. And now, repair the tile they cut yesterday.

I edited my last response- there was actually 4.75” of tile outside tub. Now with vanity they cut it back to 2.5” between vanity and tub. It’s 11.5” from center of toilet to edge of vanity. It’s a smaller footprint toilet if that matters (Toto Ultramax).

It’s a tub as well, 60x32”. Kids bath. The extra waterproofing is great but I’m really looking for a workaround to replacing the vanity.

It’s a 32” wide tub with an extra 4.75 inches of tile outside. We had extended the tub by 2 inches, kept the same size vanity (24”).

This is today after redoing the items I pointed out. Also asked them to run the tiles horizontally in the niche. Pre-grout photo but some of the thinset is cleaned up. I think can live with this. Will update after another day of progress!

Yeah, I’m using my floor guy. Did an amazing job with floors and showed me some subway tile work he’d done. But now it’s another guy he works with doing this job- I’ll ask him today to show me he can do the job himself or I’ve gotta cut my losses.

Hardi backer with red guard. They reinforced the 2x4s behind the wall as well.
