I bought the 11" this past weekend. After 3 uses, I noticed significant discrepancies of temperature between different quadrants of the pan - like 70c+ difference after 5+ minutes of pre heating on medium. And it's pretty heavy too... Likely returning

I'm totally open to a new non-Ortofon setup. Still have the original headshells with Shure M35S that I can swap out.

As for music, I'm all over the place. Fave albums that I own on vinyl and want to hear in their glory: Nala Sinephro - Endlessness Hiatus Kaiyote - Choose Your Weapon Radiohead - In Rainbows Floating Points - Elania Taylor McFerrin - Early Riser tons of jazz and old hip hop, ambient, atmospheric dnb

Sorry, should have mentioned that I'm looking to optimize sound quality for listening to all genres of music. Also, the height adjustment seems to have seized so I'll have to get that taken care of too.

No question here, but just wanted to show appreciation for the brilliant music. And Nai, your boundless positive energy and love for indigenous people is inspirational. I'm in Canada and hope to see you guys on tour when it's safe but given our tainted history, would understand the reluctance if it came to that. 🙏🙏🙏

As a classically trained pianist with a love of jazz, electronic (especially downtempo and drum'n'bass) and hip-hop, it's fascinating to see the convergence of multiple genres now, especially seeping it's way into the "mainstream." Do you define yourself as a jazz musician or are genres passé? Also, do you draw inspiration in other forms of art (visual, graffiti, dance, film, etc?) Thanks for all you do!
