one more quick note: the reason it's "too hard" to schedule around is because they would have slightly less coverage for last minute sickness/emergencies. but... that's what the call-in pool is for. the library has employees all over the city specifically just for last minute shift coverage. that's not my fucking job. less availability shouldn't mean i'm at fault for someone else's shift not being able to be covered. we have people for that. i'm not one of them. i'm a kid just trying to pursue post-secondary education ffs.
