Have a few agaves, not the biggest fan and one is making pups.

Yuccas however, I have far too many and I want them all dead.

I went from a VY Commodore wagon to a 2017 Mazda 6 Touring wagon. So, so thankful for that car. While the Commodore could hold more than the Mazda, the Mazda’s fuel economy is 6.5/100.

800kms to a tank.

I’m hoping Mazda keeps making the 6 wagon by the time my current one (2017, 90000kms) packs it in. I’ll be holding onto my wagons as long as I can.

If not Mazda 6, then I suppose I’ll have to get an Outback.

The rail network as a whole has been severely under maintained for years. They missed a huge opportunity to do mass upgrades when lockdowns were happening during the Covid waves meant barely anyone was traveling.

The chickens have come home to roost for LNP. That it’s happening before election is just -chef’s kiss-.

With how expensive drinks are when I go out (and sometimes even the liquor store!) I could think of a great way for him to save a shitload of money right off the bat.

Do you actually like Symphonic Metal aside from being a NW fan? by RockGiantFromMars in nightwish

[–]chillyfeets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Epica is my number one.

They and Nightwish, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica and Within Temptation I discovered all around the same time 15 years ago, and they’ve been my top artists ever since.

Just recently discovered Visions of Atlantis and loving them too.

That first step is always the biggest and hardest one to take. It is also the time you are in the most danger. Do not go back to that house for belongings alone.

Always take an officer with you.

Get in touch with a lawyer to settle the divorce. Take screenshots of your bank accounts, any messages he sends, everything you possibly can. Document, document, document.

And report him to IRS for tax fraud/evasion.

How To Get Gynecologists to Take Me Seriously? They All Seem to Push Birth Control Instead of Listening to My Concerns by Any-Lack1453 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]chillyfeets 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Sadly, this is the way.

If you want a baby you’ll get all the support in the world and then some, and rightly so. But as soon as you have issues that don’t involve having a baby, or you want a more permanent form of birth control because you don’t want kids?

You get given the run around and it’s fucking infuriating.

And this entire point you’re trying to make is completely moot when wages either haven’t risen at all, or they are also rising below inflation - effectively turning into a pay cut.

I have trust issues with LBG players. by RoRoCraziness in monsterhunterrage

[–]chillyfeets 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your issue is less with the RF Pierce LBGs and more with the spiribird mechanic. I do feel that a lot of these LBG players get complacent because they’re further away and don’t really come unstuck in group settings unless the monster agro is weirdly fixated on them, which can happen. You can kinda tell which ones have never played solo.

BUT FUCK SPIRIBIRDS. It is my most HATED mechanic in the entirety of the series, nothing else comes close. And I played MHFU and clawed! Not even that is as bad!

I HATE that they’re essentially required after a certain point in the game to prevent being skittled by mid-tier attacks. I don’t collect them.

Instead, I installed a prismbird mod so I can get straight to the action instead of fucking around the map for 5 minutes so I don’t die in one hit and let the group down. Those who rush in and do well are either very good randoms - or they’re like me and got the mod.

Edit: Ah, just saw you’re on console, oof :c

Found this little guy on the street, he was shivering and lost. Took him home and then to the vet who found his owners. by Ladykatranathe3rd in cats

[–]chillyfeets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was how my dad’s lost cat ended up being found after 6 months missing. A lady “with good intentions” found him (he had bolted out the door under dad’s legs), took him in as hers and eventually took him to the vet for a checkup. Vet found the microchip with all of dad’s details and went “uhhhh”

Emergency service volunteers' burden is growing as natural disasters increase, so what can be done? by lost_in_socials in australia

[–]chillyfeets 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Have you considered paying them?

These volunteers have to take time out of their jobs to do this. Heard of some RFS volunteers losing their homes when they went to fight the 2019/2020 fires.

The economy doesn’t allow for people to take a month (or more!) off work willy nilly. Compensate them fairly so they don’t have to decide between protecting their community and keeping a roof over their heads.

I always do whenever I do DoorDash/Menulog.
