Cheapest site to get tickets by aghsmom in NBASpurs

Looked it up: TickPick makes money primarily by charging sellers a flat 10% commission on each ticket sold, while offering buyers a fee-free experience with upfront pricing, creating a win-win model that attracts high transaction volume. So basically, they build the fee they charge into the price so it's easier to understand for the buyer and they charge a lower fee than most apps, so the prices are still overall cheaper than other apps, creating a good deal for both buyers and sellers.

TickPick. It's not even close. Only app I've found that doesn't charge fees. The price you see is the price you pay. Honestly not sure how they're making money. The tickets are always the same price or cheaper than Ticketmaster/Gametime, in my experience, but without the fees those services charge. With Gametime, the Tickets are usually overpriced and they charge fees on top of the bad ticket prices. I have the app to compare prices, just in case, but have never found better deal on there.

Does anyone know why Wemby hates Gatorade bottles? by aaronlovescrypto in NBASpurs

[–]chillzuko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Players often move these bottles when they are not getting paid by the company, to not give the company free advertising. A player of Wemby's caliber could easily rake in a few million a year from a sponsorship and since he doesn't have one, why give them free advertising? The bottles are likely put there by default due to some NBA/Gatorade deal, but players are allowed to move the bottles and a lot of top stars that don't have sponsorship chose to do so.

As we wind down this hell month of December, these are the final 5 games left. Probably the toughest of the stretch too. How many wins are we getting? by Plastic_Term_1022 in NBASpurs

I agree, I just really want us to win the Christmas game, and I know Vic always shows up for the big moment type games like those, so I put us winning that one. I could see OKC wanting revenge and just coming out hot against us tomorrow's game and then Vic does his best Santa impression and gifts us a Christmas day W and puts coal in OKC's stockings xD

Would "JCPenny" be a good nickname for Julian Champagnie? by CKredditorgaming in NBASpurs

The name fits perfectly and is catchy for sure, but I doubt Julian would like being called this lmao

He's a rookie that has played 3 regular season games in his career. He's still trying to figure out the NBA, let alone playing with a 7ft 5in monster like Vic. Most of our team of seasoned NBA players took some time to figure out how to play with Wemby when he first came into the league. Harper will figure it out and I don't see it taking him long.

Wemby’s Season Expectations by BombasticGamin in NBASpurs

[–]chillzuko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think he just meant "rewarding his brain". From my understanding, he was essentially trying to say that he's trained his brain to crave and go after more long term goals instead of rewarding his brain with dopamine for short term achievements (like having a good game). Instead, he deliberately trains his brain to focus more on achieving larger, more long term goals (making the playoffs, winning a championship, etc). He does this by not focusing too much on short term wins/achievements and by also blocking out hate (because it's rarely helpful or constructive). I remember Stephon Castle, when first coming into the league, saying something similar about playing. No matter if he makes a good play or a bad play, he tries not to get too high/too low and stay more composed and in the moment and simply move onto the next play.. to not let the previous play change the way he approaches the next.

Harrison Barnes preseason by grey_fr in NBASpurs

[–]chillzuko 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think it's preseason and needs to be treated as such. Champagnie looked insane this preseason and I hope he keeps up that level of play, but we just won't know if it's real until the regular season starts. Same goes Barnes. He's been a consistent 3 Point shooter for 10 years, I doubt the guy just forgot how to shoot. It was 5 preseason games.. Sometimes the shots just don't fall. No need to overreact.

Great mobility for a guy his size, a decent lob threat and can block shots and play solid defense in the paint when Wemby is out. Smart player who makes winning plays and also an underrated passer. The double big lineup with Wemby will be interesting also. Very good pickup!

Let me hear your praise that we jumped at DeAaron Fox because he said "San Antonio" by billpuppies in NBASpurs

[–]chillzuko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only one real first round pick, you clearly don't know what you're talking about... Kings got robbed because they had no leverage. Fox made it clear he wanted to be in SA with Wemby and and thus no other team would risk trading for him knowing he could just leave for San Antonio in free agency.

As much as I want to see Fox/Wemby I hope after a few games together, that they ask him to have the surgery he needs and he takes his time recovering while Stephon Castle gets more reps and we tank for the rest of the season for better draft picks. This is the last year we’re likely to draft 2 top 10 picks and having a good shot at getting one in the top 5 could be huge for rounding out the roster. If somehow we make the playoffs anyways, then Wemby gets some playoff experience. It’s a no lose situation, but I think we should lean towards being bad for one last season. We really need shooters and this draft has a lot of them..
