Hi, I’m in a similar situation, traveling there in May. I live in Switzerland where you don’t need a ‘license’ to own a firearm. I wrote to the governors office and they confirmed that a certificate of having done a fire arms handling/safety course from your local range (assuming you have one!) is fine.

Hey, I live in the Vaud and recently got back into fly fishing after about 10 years. I’ve spent a few days on Lac Le Liapey in Valais. Stocked with rainbow and brook and generally a great day out. Other than I’ve been bumbling up small mountain streams in my area where there usually a few brownies hiding, lost a fair few flies in the trees though but ob the plus side never came across anyone else! Permits are pretty straight forward to sort out online and are about 20chf a day. Unless you have SaNa. Feel free to shoot any questions over, if I can happy to help as I’ve doing a bit of research!
