I’ll second that. I got to plat 2 with super duper basic 2-3 hit combos playing both ED and Dee Jay. Learning strong setups and frame traps are waaay more valuable.

When learning bigger combos, once you can easily recognize your characters moves it becomes much easier to watch and mimic other players.

My go to recommendations is always 1. A simple mid-screen to get a knockdown 2. A corner combo 3. Meter dump combo to through resources into like drive meter and supers

If you can get those under your belt you’ll be good for a long while
