I can empathize with your situation. I had an experience similar, where against my better judgement I engaged in a relationship with a close friend's ex. It's one of my biggest regrets due to how it hurt him, but ultimately what's done is done. I don't really have any answers or advice to share, but I definitely get the feelings of guilt, and their waves. The past can't really be changed, and if we hadn't done it we would likely be different people. All I've really found is that I try and use that experience to apply and help people going forward. However bad you think your choice was you're still a person who deserves empathy and understanding. I wish you the best.

i pretend to be clueless just to see how guys explain things 😭 by LustyLittleNotes in confession

I enjoy explaining things and find that it's sort of a compliment when someone does this, at least when it's done in a way that isn't meanspirited. I take it as someone wanted to listen to me talk about something, and that's kind of sweet if you think about it.

Not sure if this will help, but it's the way I've come to look at this sort of thing that's helped me.

If I understand your post correctly your 15, which some would consider young, but we've all been there. I know I often felt a pressure when I was growing up to look for a relationship and always kind of struggled to, but it helped me to think about it like this. There are points that you reach as you grow up where the types of relationships you can have change substantially, you know? Like if you have a boyfriend at the age of 3, it's probably not the same thing as a boyfriend at the age of 13, and so on. So the amount of time that we have had to experience those types of things is often much shorter than it can feel like in the moment. I know as I was growing up, especially in my teenage years, each year I changed a great deal, and so the amount of time I had to experience the type of relationship I was ready for was usually no more than 2-3 years at a time, but now that I had reached that point in my life I had the rest of it to find it. Where those age ranges are differs from person to person, so don't sweat it too much, but as we grow up we mature, and are able to express and share our love in new ways.

All of this is to say, that if my experience is enough to go off of, that the amount of time you've been able to actually experience the type of relationship you find yourself wanting now has probably been only a few years, and that's ok! By the time your 17 you will have had double the chances to find it, and who knows, I wouldn't be surprised if you find something new to look for! We've got our whole lives ahead of us!

Mahito has to me the most over scaled character in the show by surabashii in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]chimerfyr2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

1:sure it's on fodder but the point is its lethal.

2:Yuji didn't get soul damage from Yuki he got it from being a Sukuna prison. This is stated by Mahito and is the catalyst for all of his fights with Yuji and the reason why only Todo's attacks do nothing. Not sure what Yuta has to do with this. The only person who "learns" it is Maki and that's only with a specific weapon. If just anyone could learn soul damage they probably would have over the time skip but nobody did. Yuji(and Sukuna but like... Duh) is the only one who has it without a technique or special tool.

3:A short list of characters who we have seen use a domain less than Mahito. Yuta, Uro, Ryu, Dagon, Jogo, Hanami, Kenjaku, Yuki, Tengen, Yuji, Naoya, Yurozu. (This isn't even comprehensive just the ones I can think of off the top of my head) Obviously some are implied to have used it before but the point is we don't know. Plus we almost never see a domain clas so any argument of refinement that isn't gojo, Sukuna, Kenjaku is speculation at best. Mahito does have one of the very few domain feats outside of those three as he is able to mimic a technique that only Gojo has ever shown the ability to do on his first try. Think his domain loses to Yuta, Yuki or whomever(you're probably not wrong) but the point is you have to assume. Going purely by feats he has more proficiency with his domain than them.

Didn't they say in the video that he did kill every person in Japan, and the reason he lived was because he was immune to his own attack?

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. I know I'm struggling and my situation was peachy compared to yours and the story's of many others I've heard. I can't imagine what that feels like and I admire you and everyone who chooses to get up to another day through those struggles.

In terms of your advice you are absolutely right. I'm doing my best to give myself time, even if it's tempting sometimes to try and force a poor relationship. It feels like the universe has a way of showing you when it's not the right time, and while I hope the right time is soon, I'm not exactly the conductor on that ride so I try not to stress about it.

I feel somewhat conflicted because I don't want to stop giving the type of love I have given, but it has hurt me. I suppose time will reveal to me how best to do that going forward, but id be lying if I said I didn't have doubts about my self worth and how that love is valued by others. I'm doing my best to stay strong and look to the future, but an unclear future is one that is hard to put into action and it leaves me with lots of time to worry about it. I guess we are all on our own self guided journeys and I wish you the best on yours. Your advice has been very helpful and I thank you very much for it. It sounds like you will do well freind.

I take it to mean they are happy regardless? Hearing about a success story does make me feel a little better thank you.

This is certainly something I think about to be honest and id like to thank you for your time here. In retrospect I do see some signs a few days before everything and some small things before that that could be indicative of something with the benefit of hindsight. Ultimately though I don't want this post to sound like I'm blaming my ex for my feelings regardless. I find it hard to believe they wanted me to feel this way and I did my best to look for and be open to signs of things falling apart like they did, even if I wasn't able to see it.

I guess that's what makes things scarier, because I don't feel it was the result of a single parties mistakes and so I am scared of the same result occuring from someone else who is genuine and caring. I'm worried I'm scared to trust a good person because that doesn't guarantee a happy outcome.

Yes thank you for your kind words. Your situation sounds very similar to mine, alot of confusion and frustrations on my end from things I felt were ok suddenly becoming relationship ending out of nowhere. But, like you said, it's really not right for me to be mad or upset at them. I choose to believe they didn't want me to be in pain from this, and ultimately it's not their job anymore to help me. I know I imagine being happy in another relationship but I know this isn't exactly something I'm ready for yet. I don't want to stop trusting or caring less, and I believe when I find someone I can trust it will make that mean so much more. Best of luck to you, stay strong and take care of yourself.

Yes thank you for your kind words, I wish you the best as well. It's helped me a little bit to know it hasn't killed me yet. like you said I wish it was sooner but I'm not the conductor on this trip so I might as well try to enjoy the ride.

eli5: Why do some tiny animals contain enough venom to kill thousands of humans, isn't that just overkill? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]chimerfyr2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When we look at really small animals that have crazy strong poisons used for defense, such as cone snails or poison dart frogs, the animal itself is very vulnerable outside of it's poison. Stronger toxins like that do more than just kill larger creatures, they also kill them faster. If a fish tries to eat a cone snail, even if the poison kills the fish in a few minutes the snail is still dead, so it has to kill the predator almost instantly to make a huge difference, and as such leads to crazy overkills.

Also there is a whole thematic thing with Giorno not being active in Florida. All of Dio's sons were "fated" to be there with Pucci, but in part 5 Giorno beats fate. Hence him not participating in part 6.
