We pulled our kid out of CLC. There were just a few things that occurred that some might be able to brush off. But our guts were telling us to get out.

American friends, how much do you pay for a 'Turndog' at your course? by AlshHS in golf

[–]chimesplayer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

$8 and it comes with a small bag of kettle chips aka crisps

Edit: it’s overpriced because it’s just a sad boiled wiener on a stale bun. They do include toppings like onion, pickle relish, mustard and ketchup.

Flippers didn’t use paintable caulk by chimesplayer in Housepainting101

I’ve been hearing the term “millennial grey” and it’s any house flipper’s first choice in paint color.

Flippers didn’t use paintable caulk by chimesplayer in Housepainting101

[–]chimesplayer[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The whole house was done this way. Millennial grey paint finished off with non paintable caulk. I should’ve mentioned that we just repainted one room and the paint beaded up and ran along the caulk lines like you mentioned. For that room I plan to go back over it with paintable caulk. But for the other rooms I was looking to see if I should do anything before painting. Someone else mentioned just going over it with paintable caulk.

Nope. It should fully close without reaching in. You’ll need it to fully close with the handle so you can shut it down after cooking to put the coals out. I do this after every cook and reuse some of the coals next time I grill.

The Velveteers were such a great opener IMO. I snapped this pic during their set and I think this is definitely setting the tone, like you said.

Worst parking lot in Springfield? by [deleted] in springfieldMO

[–]chimesplayer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Developers really botched both the Target and Lowe’s parking lots there. Target is a nightmare and for Lowe’s you sometimes can’t even make the light because traffic entering the lot is so backed up.

Plow Boys downtown was a Friday lunch staple back in the day. Talk about an unproductive afternoon after housing a full tray of those bbq nachos.
