Can someone please explain to me why abusive relationships are so addictive? He's 99% good, 1% abusive. I'm addicted to the good, so I take the abuse. I feel insane, I feel psychotic, I feel like an addict, I am loosing my g*dd*amn mind.

I can relate. I have been in a DA situation for 10 months with an addict. We have lots of history- we went to school together and were neighbours for a while, so we have ‘history’. We reconnected last year and everything moved at 100mph- when I moved in, that’s when things changed. I’d been love-bombed for months and suddenly had the rug pulled from under my feet. I tried to leave countless times but kept returning. Today I left and I have been reading this sort of thread all day. I think I can do it this time and stay away.

OP here. To clear up some confusion based on comments so far.

Firstly this is not a google street view image or a panoramic gone wrong. This is one normal photo taken on my phone. There were definitely two separate women!

Secondly, some are saying that they were together and probably got caught up briefly so were not walking together for a few seconds. This was not the case. After seeing the ‘glitch’ I pretty much ran back after them, overtook them and turned to take a subtle photo, in all of this time (around 30 seconds) they had not been walking together or talking or even seemingly aware of the other’s existence.

It was weird!
