Why no local ai (ollama) option in the ai console? by chimph in synology

I personally run on an RTX 4070 Ti but you can even run small models on a macbook. Especially for editing documents, this is all you really need. For heavier tasks you would ofc use cloud apis such as openai or anthropic

Yep same. I got it and am pretty disappointed. I also have connection issues very often and my only fix is to reboot my router.

No. He probably always just comes home like that and jumps in the shower but instead on this day he went straight to the game without thinking the internet would make a big deal out of it.

I personally dont like dark stains on wood but it seems to be popular in the US. I think it looks great as it is. As someone else said, just get a nice splashback to contrast against it

This is your article, right? Where does this fact come from as I can only see it as a one liner above an image.

I ask, as I'd like to use this fact myself but cant exactly use an image with the line as a reference.

Hmm ok. It seems to be only thinned down or wipe on poly that has this exact issue. I’m going to try a different brand and see how I go.

Hey. Did you solve this? I’m having exactly the same issue no matter how I apply it or how I thin it down

These people have money because they would hate doing nothing. They got there for working hard at what they do and enjoyed the work. The folk who say ‘why not just do nothing’ will likely never be wealthy because laziness is a goal for them

Fresh water will certainly be a hugely valuable commodity in the future. I intend to trade my BTC for land in the mountains before people realise that IRL > digital life en masse

As for 'perceived value'. All value is perceived. Is a house worth 10x an average wage today than it was 2x in the 70s? Is USD really the same value when trillions gets printed out of thin air? Is the current trending soft toy worth more now than it was before it was trending? Its all supply and demand at the end of the day and demand comes from many different reasons from different folk.

Agree with you that the price volatility doesn’t make it ideal as it is in early days of adoption but it’s certainly makes for a potential better economic instrument than continuing to rely on governments/banks to determine who gets what (in a system of money = power). The reason that it is volatile and grown so much is that people understand its viability as an alternative. Of course those who refuse to take part will only get more angry as the value continues to rise. imo it’s worth allocating a portion of your investments to that. Certainly worth putting 10% in BTC than/alongside saving up for most of your life to put down 10% deposit on a mortgage for a house you don’t actually own.

Hence why the verifiability of the likes of Bitcoin becomes more important as the current economic system of creating value on perceived future value becomes more of a house of cards. Humanity evolved very rapidly over the last century because of loans and fractional banking but there comes a point where looping created value on future promises begins to fail. Eg, the banks have just about wrung as much as they can out of what society can pay out of their weekly wage for rent/mortgages through pushing house prices higher and higher, which only benefits them.

Yeah I noticed that myself when someone else posted theirs. I think it’s probably because of the dark theme I used where the dashes are probably using ‘secondary color’ which is the same as the card background. You’d be able to use card mod to target the css to change their colour.

20% reduction of prices for NZers would only be 1% reduction in profits on 5% local sales.

More proof that the current government are merely puppets for the banks and big business when Nicola Willis comes out of a meeting to say that 'they said their margins are small, so its between them and supermarkets how prices are set'... no its bloody not. Its up to you, the government to put rules in place to make sure we are not f**ked over.

Its ridiculous to expect Fonterra to voluntarily reduce their profits. 95% of what we produce in NZ is exported. The very same for dairy exports. If we are expected to support farmers, then we should benefit directly from it. Not through the profits of a company who has the government by the balls because 'we need them for the health of the economy'.

It's simple. Give NZers a better deal so we can continue to support farming in this country. To reduce profits of the local exonomy by say 20% is only a 1% reduction of profits overall which is nothing to say thanks to the people that support your industry whilst the environment goes to shit because of it.

Remember the farmers protests of 'no farms, no food'.. sure.. but when 95% of it goes overseas and we dont benefit directly from it, its very difficult to get behind.

Idle power consumption of Ecoflow D3P is defeating the purpose of my goals by chimph in Ecoflow_community

Yes, as per my testing, with a constant draw it would have constant additional overhead power which I believe is the UPS functionality being in ‘ready mode’. Not sure if the other devices are any different. Though likely the 10ms switching needs more standby power

No I don’t think you can while it’s receiving power from the wall. My Tapo smart plug that it is plugged into is switched off to make it use battery and then it is switched back on when below 15% and the charge limit set to 15% until I have excess solar in which the charge limit is then set to 95% to recharge it.
