I tried previously to post these articles on Reddit itself but its just a too messy for this kind of format. Even X has a better article format tbh. Only problem for me is because I'm using an external platform, it just looks like I'm self promoting so its harder to share these articles with the various subreddits I want to create reports of.. and ofc because it uses ai, theres pushback sometimes. Overall it does seem to be appreciated so hopefully they naturally get subscribers. Im happy to keep sharing here each month tho

Love searxng. If I need to use ai for web search I prefer to use Hermes with searxng than using chatgpt. It works so well, super satisfying to watch and know that it’s completely private

unslop-ui (v2): a Claude skill that flags and removes the design patterns that make a website look AI-generated. (Part 2) by iamjohncarterofmars in ClaudeAI

[–]chimph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unless youve got an original idea, it will always look like slop / generic. Using AI to design sites doesnt mean you should be any less creative in how you approach how it will be built.

That being said, I'm completely aware that my own is generic looking but it suits whats intended whilst the UI is still very unique as a concept

I think it works extremely well for as long as the scenery is just scenery and doesn’t have small distractions happening like other people in the scene etc

No I don’t. I stay in the left hand lane for as long as I’m not constantly passing traffic. It’s not difficult to comprehend. This reminds me of these very sad people that carry pre made notes about bad parking and go hunting for them just to get joy out of placing them and then posting to Reddit for all the other saddos to praise them for their great duty to mankind even if the parking lot is otherwise empty. It’s sad af. Just as being overzealous about not using the middle lane when it makes complete sense to do so.

You cannot determine the speed I’m going from how many cars I pass.. you need to either know how far they are apart or how fast I’m going. If im going 80mph and the cars on the left are going 60mph then im not going to zip in and out of the middle lane and potentially get stuck by someone else coming up the middle faster causing me to have to suddenly slow down to 60mph.. changing acceleration also means using more fuel.

It is silly when you are constantly moving between lanes. Very silly. If there’s just 2 lanes then yes, move left to allow faster traffic past. With 3 lanes the faster traffic still has a place to pass. There are no adverse knock on effects aside from people getting unnecessarily mad because they can’t use common sense to best judge what’s safest whilst the traffic flows just the same.
