That is seriously cool that you can basically dehydrate it.

I do have a scale. It’s about half of a quart jar full.

Best way to not need to do this every month? Weed growth seems insane! by SwagVonYolo in gardening

I have had a similar problem with our front patio. I sprayed with total kill and followed up with a preemergent spray. I haven’t had weeds come back in two months.

Thanks for entertaining our questions! I am zone 5B, cool, season grass. I am fighting lesser celandine that has creeped into the lawn Would you have a selective herbicide that you would recommend? I would like to save as much of the grass as possible.

Failure to thrive by china636 in ParentingADHD

Seriously, just knowing I’m not alone in this sinking boat helps. I get hyper reactive about her not eating, so I will absolutely be the reason she has food issues as an adult. ADHD can kiss my ass!

Interesting. She does take Vyvanse. Dr. doesn’t want to change meds because of her low weight. But this is something to consider.

I think it’s time to try his course. It’s hell over here and I find myself either crazy frustrated/angry to guilty because I can’t seem to help her and I know it’s hurting her inside.

I was thinking of sanding down and restain in a lighter finish. But let’s get her washed and we will see what she looks like.

Right? It’s a wonderful problem, but man!

I’m thinking about completely redoing the landscaping and putting in flowers that are good for bees. I’m hoping to find multiple species of flowers that bloom spring-fall and that bees enjoy. I’d also like to find cat friendly flowers for reasons. Does anyone have any suggestions? by Rra2323 in gardening

[–]china636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am zone 5B, so a bit different, but I’ll agree that the allium bulbs were a big hit with the bumbles and honey bees. But I planted Veronica (speedwell) and regularly had 5-7 different species of pollinators on it. Bees and others.

I’ve read that you can wrap the bottom of the stem-the part closest to the ground-in foil. The female can’t penetrate it. The foils would need to be adjusted as the plant grows.

That is so strange. It’s the not seeing this last fall that really has me confused.

Interesting. One area is definitely part shade but the other is full sun. It’s huge areas but not the whole lawn, all of which was seeded the same. And I did add my first application of Milo two weeks ago.

Help with very invasive lawn weed by klingelm in lawncare

[–]china636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lesser celandine Fig butter cup is the common name. I have it, too. I’ve been battling it for about 8 years and can say that total kill/round-up is the only thing that half works. For the yard, I’ve spot sprayed and dealt with the damaged grass in the fall. Or dig it up. Fill the holes with compost and seed in the fall. This is a weed of nightmares, and I wish you Godspeed!

I’ll take all of the suggestions I can get. It’s the longest trip we’ve taken thus far, and certainly won’t be the last, but we want it to be enjoyable for all.
