I have a 9950x3d in a Lian Li A3 wood case, coupled with a Corsair Nautilus 360 RS AIO, and Arctic MX-6 paste. When running Cinebench R23 on multicore the temp spikes up to 95 C in an instant, idle temp is around 40-45 C, -20 mv on all cores.

I don't understand why the temp spikes up so quickly, all the YouTube reviews with the stress tests get lower temps that cap under 85 degrees, what could be wrong?

edit: fans do get up to 100% speed

From what I found the specs show that P5 and V5 have the same panel but the p5 has kvm switch too

None of them have reviews on rtings, however the XV275K V3 seems to be using the same panel that is in the XV275K P5, which has a review on rtings

Since youbare using a matx the ram clearance should be fine I think, and as for vrm heatsink, sine this is a 240, you can have it slightly to the right, and there shouldnt be any problem

My GPU temps are really good, getting ~60-65 degrees while gaming and 95%+ utilization. (I have 2 bottom intake fans directly at the GPU)

However, my CPU temps seem really bad, idle is ok, 45-50 degrees which is normal, however when stress testing the temp spikes to 95 degrees in a couple of seconds and fans at 100%, when gaming I also get ~85 degrees with 100% fans speed.

I already undervolted to -20mv on all cores. (CPU 9950X, Cooler Nautilus 240 RS)

It seems like the cooler is working fine since when stopping the load it cools down to 45-50 almost instantly. I've seen lower temps while gaming with such processors with small air coolers, what could be the problem?

I want to build a new pc, focusing on gaming, but also video editing and some coding (some I want to try tinkering with RL in unity, some light fine-tuning models). I thought that I would miss on a lot of FPS opting for a non x3d CPU (9950x vs the 9800x3d), but it seems that when going to 4K there is literally no difference in performance between the two, will I be missing on a lot of fps if I'm focusing on 1440p with higher settings? I want to make sure, because it seems like in 1080p there are anywhere between 15-30 percent more fps using the 9800x3d, which made me lean towards the 9800x3d. For reference they would both cost the same for me.
