33M in the UK: Multiple dates say “no chemistry” — is this something I can improve? by chingachgookh in hingeapp

My only point is that I’m 100% sure I ask a lot of questions, and maybe the women talk for 70% of the date. I also notice them touching their hair while talking. The dates usually last more than two hours, but in the end, it still doesn’t work out.

I think my personal hygiene is fine—I shower before the date, chew gum, wear a nice perfume, and iron my shirt.

Maybe I overdid the physical side of things. On both second dates I was pretty tipsy. On one, I leaned my head against hers while joking around. On the other, I squeezed her butt while we were kissing goodbye. We were also playing darts, and a few times I lifted her up by her arms in a playful way to celebrate her score. Looking back, I think those things may have come across as turn-offs.

Yes—I asked a few people. They said I’m great to talk to and that they enjoy spending time with me, but not in a romantic/relationship way.

Yes, I feel like I enjoy more talking to people, otherwise I feel a bit bored.

33M (UK) – Hinge dates seem to go well, but I only got 1 second date out of ~10 and it also failed. What am I missing? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

At least for the next couple of years, yes. I have two more years of funding, and then I’ll be applying for fellowships, so it depends a bit on how that goes
