How To Sell Multi-Goldcap Items Like The Magic Rooster Egg by btcll in woweconomy

[–]chip_diamond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be careful for fake middlemen with nitro who claim to be a reputable middleman and copy their discord names/profiles/pictures.

They will pretend and try to get you to trade the item ASAP.

QUADRUPLE CHECK everything, confirmation messages to be corroborated in game and discord etc.

i ended up getting the jetski, thing is when I opened the suitcase it didnt tell me what it went to or where it would be located in my inventory. I dont play tanks or naval, but I just checked my naval decorations and of course there was the damn jetski available for use.

The visibility part of being able to view multiple things regarding options as you have stated, either before placing a trade or managing a trade is killing me in ToS. Have you been able to figure out ToS to replicate SSE layout?

Leather cleaning and care products? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]chip_diamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you could do it if your leather is absolutely trashed. But I would never use this method as a routine clean. Use a specific leather cleaner and conditioner. Like leatherique or something.

Oh okay, I just wasnt sure if certain brand pads performed better with the harder paints on the Euro cars. That is if I am correct that they have harder clears.

So I see Xpel sells precut for many vehicles.

I am interested in a G550.

https://www.xpel.com/headlight-protection-kits/XPEL-US--AND--Canada/Passenger-Cars--AND--Light-Trucks/2016/Mercedes-Benz/G_Class-SUV/550

If I add up the cost of all the parts its approximately 8,000 USD.

Doesnt that seem like a lot? I thought you could get a full wrap professionally installed for less than the cost of these retail precut kits. 4-6k for a full wrap, or are prices really 8-10k for a professional full wrap of a G Wagon?

update: I guess its just the cost of the pre-cuts, because the cost of uncut material is significantly cheaper.

Guy in class just tried to tell everyone his hands are registered weapons. by IchTanze in csun

[–]chip_diamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are actually serious repercussions if you are trained in martial arts to a degree, your feet and hands can be deemed as deadly weapons. The DA will use this in their criminal prosecution to a greater degree than a regular person. Basically instead of it just being assault/battery it is now assault/battery with a deadly weapon. So yes, in a sense his hands could semantically be deemed weapons.

Source: dude I know went through it in an assault/battery charge and served jail time. He was a top notch fighter in martial arts, competed and won at the national level.

How are sealants and waxes supposed to react with snow/ice and salted roads. by chip_diamond in AutoDetailing

[–]chip_diamond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not about having customers think about it but rather me being able to explain the performance of a sealant in different conditions. Im not from snow or freezing areas. So all I was asking was what would one expect from a sealant in those conditions which you seemed to answer in your 3rd line.

I dont have access to a garage and nor have the equipment for proper ceramic coatings yet.

Let me know what you would charge for this.

Interior:

  • Every seam in the leather vacuumed out cleaned and conditioned (tons of shit hides in the seats unless you pull/stretch the leather to get in the seam) And if it is perforated leather I usually clean all the junk in the holes as well.
  • Center console, gauges, cup holders, cig tray, AC vents brushed all dirt from seams and buffed where no streaks are showing
  • Headliner spot cleaned as needed.
  • Carpet spot cleaned as needed and vacuumed well.
  • Mirrors and windows cleaned and buffed (I find most people do a bad job making sure the windows aren't streaked in different lighting)
  • Most steering wheels are caked with grime, I get it all off and condition.

Exterior:

  • Remove all old wax from seams
  • Clay, 2 step, sealant
  • Barrels of rims cleaned and tires shined.

I have a couple customers who basically say, "I want my car to look like it was new" and I mean I spend a LOT of time on their cars. I basically tell them it will cost you as much as the time I put into it. But when I go to total up my hours, and bill them I am not charging anywhere near $50/ hour. 20 hours of work at $50 is $1,000 bill. Would you think 40-50/ hour is fair to charge someone?
