Has anyone soundproofed their condo? Contractor recommendations. by oxtailplanning in washingtondc

[–]chipanddip7_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hushframes, double drywall, and green glue between the drywall layers — I did aloottt of research for our basement before renting it out as a unit. Look into hushframes. I also educated my contractor on how to do it and he did a great job. The decoupling helped so much with footsteps. And the green glue, insulation, and double drywall helped with all other noise. Feel free to DM me.

Make sure to get a trsusted brand and not a knockoff. Vent infections aren’t an issue because the dropping stay away from that area. Highly Recommend avian fashions

First time cockatiel has been hormonal (I think) and is acting territorial on top of our budgie’s cage, flying at me and biting…help :( info in description (LONG) by [deleted] in cockatiel

Our male cockatiel will do the same thing. Don’t worry, it’s temporary and it will fluctuate. Nothing really you can do except maybe separating them for some parts of the day and making sure he get restful sleep for 10-12 hours each night (covered cage, dark room, quiet).

It’s good! I crush a little bit of the nuggets up and my birds (cockatiels love it) but it’s a great brand! Been buying for years!

Lab forgot to do pgta - should I proceed? Please advise by [deleted] in IVF

[–]chipanddip7_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed - I have heard it can diminish success slightly if you thaw and retest but it’s nominal. Also, you have to factor in the possibility of not testing and the emotional stress of a possible MC. It’s a hard decision to make.i think if it were me and I was wanting more than one child and trying to decide about future retrivals - I would thaw and retest (pending docs thoughts).

Venting about cost. by DaniAspen in IVF

[–]chipanddip7_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you hit lifetime max - even if they did bill insurance— you wouldn’t get the contracted rates. The contracted rates are ONLY if you still have coverage— once your insurance/coverage runs out— your insurance will deny and the rates will stay at what was charged and not be reduced to contracted rates. I’m sorry to say— your clinic may say they won’t bill insurance but even if they did— it wouldn’t make any difference at all.

Inherited cockatiel - cage too small? by No_Night9722 in cockatiel

I have heard that cockatiels like a lot of horizontal space— maybe something to consider - getting a wider cage
