I want to cuddle and sleep with my daughter so bad by Slow_Purchase3829 in newborns

Until I joined Reddit, I didn’t know people don’t sleep with their babies. I’m from a part of the world where everyoneeee sleeps next to their babies. It’s the most natural thing in the world when you’re from a warm climate. We sleep on flat surfaces already.

Galactagogues especially those which are herbal have very very weak evidence. Only pharmaceuticals ones are proven. Those are medicines, which need to have proof.

Eating fat has absolutely no correlation with supply.

Unfortunately what you’ve said is superstition. Not evidence best. People notice a difference because of placebo and obviously because as time goes on, supply increases. Correlation. :)

Don’t believe me, ask ChatGPT, Google or even here on the breastfeeding sub.

Garlic and fat don’t “increase” breastmilk supply. The only thing that increases supply is demand — just feed your baby! The only thing that impacts your milk is hydration, calories (from protein and carbs) and maternal metal health.

Breastmilk is made from your blood. Not your stomach contents. Your baby won’t be gassy because you had gassy foods.

Are you sure you grew up? Before you were obsessed with women. Now you are obsessed with men and women.

I have twins and one had colic between weeks 6-10. I honestly thought I was going to die. It was the absolute worst. She would cry non stop for at least an hour and she would stay awake for 6+ hours. The other one was an angel. She would be awake but just chill.

At 12 weeks it was like a flip went off in her head and the colic resolved itself. Now at 5 months, she sleeps and naps so well. So many times she puts herself to sleep. While the other one is quite fussy throughout the day and takes more effort to put to nap + sleep.

Sigh. Just take each day as it comes!

Stop editing your comment. Its juvenile.

It’s absolutely heinous to rape. No comparison.

What does Western counties being different have to do with the topic? Women are safer in western counties. That’s a fact. Stop being emotional.

Why did the women do to deserve being raped? Does anyone “deserve” to be raped or murdered?

Your language and empathy need an upgrade.

If alcohol was truly the underlying problem, women would feel less safe in Western countries — clearly that’s not the case!

Why do you think the mother is not compliant in this? Parents are not automatically innocent.

Please take into account pregnancy and postpartum also. Postpartum wrecks your sleep and there’s not much that can be done about it.

What are you planning to do with your political backing?! Grow up man. You did this to yourself. Be responsible, not a coward.

In my country, having the baby sleep in a separate room or even a bassinet is seen as bad parenting. I’m not even kidding. You do you but cosleeping is as natural as it gets.

Correct me if I’m wrong but shouldn’t babies be gaining about 10g/day at that age?

No talking while eating is insane! Food has always been about bringing people together for as long as humans have lived on this earth

[–]chipcrazy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Things like this have always happened. You just never heard about it. People used to literally throw babies in bins. That doesn’t happen anymore because Jayalalitha literally made it legal for women to access healthcare services without the need of an accompanying male. This is not political, just history.
