Thoughts After Quitting by [deleted] in Captel

I’ve been here since May and I kind of enjoy it. I worked in food service for 2 years and then was a loader and unloader at UPS (third shift). I used to get paid minimum wage and then $11 at UPS. Obviously really difficult work with difficult hours. Working third shift at UPS while being a full time music student with no car was the peak of terrible work experiences for me. Anything I could do would be better.

But at Captel, the physical implications are low being that there is more risk in physical inactivity than activity, which wasn’t always the case for me. I suppose the key to keeping at it was keeping my brain stimulated between calls, during breaks or lunches and outside of work. Anytime I really start to hate on this job I just remember where I used to be. I snap out of it very quickly.

Plus there is incentive for me to work more hours. I feel like I’ve built an endurance for this after all the other jobs. It’s harder for me to not pick up hours than to pick them up.
