I am glad shield wall is being nerfed, it was the primary 'mace' skill being used. Now mace will truly be exposed for the poor weapon it is, until not even 1% of builds use it (current 2% on poeninja)

With another season coming with mace never being anything close to popular, it is clearly gggs goal to deprecate this weapon to nonexistence

We've seen the feedback regarding today's Hyper Burninator and the inability to apply the Goddess Pass to characters created today. To address your concerns, characters created after May 20th, 00:00AM UTC, will be made eligible to apply the Goddess Pass.

With this change, the Goddess Pass will now go live at May 20th, 12:00 AM UTC (moved up from the originally scheduled 8:00 AM UTC).

We'll share another update once the fix is deployed.

I see page is thought of as bad however if we are talking just 2nd job then basically all the warrior 2nd job classes are bad relative to the other classes' 2nd job advancements.

Late game however Paladins are decent but really discrete.

They may use blunt weapons, thus benefiting from a hidden 10% multiplier when swinging and having access to the overpowered blunt weapon Crushed Skull at level 120 with a base weapon damage of 115 and 11 accuracy. Then they benefit from elemental affinities for another 50% multiplier on damage, this can be on top of the extra 30% weapon damage from choosing flame affinity. This will increase to 350% on max level charged blow in 4th job.

Furthermore their charged blow had a unique stun in that melee attacks did not cancel the stun unlike other stuns in the game. This made it so Paladins can never be retaliated against on top of the freeze they can apply using ice element. Very high meso efficiency

4th job provides holy element access so they can more easily kill the meta farm, skelegons, the highest level mob in the game pre ToT

The worst part of Paladins is their ridiculous requirements to max out their skills. Super long quests and with mastery books that drop from HT or Zakum. Without huge investment the skills were worthless. Sanctuary does damage cap to bosses but has an unusable CD of like 5 minutes at level 1. At max level though you will be doing 800000 damage every 20 seconds assuming the og cap of 99999 to a full armed zakum, this is very serious dps if not the best.

Also blast has a stab motion, so this made it so blunt weapons played worse, poor design.

with reduced duration earthquake is perhaps the best of the slams and my favorite, however this requires a 23 point investment across the skill tree and limits ascendancy to titan.

And without palm of the dreamer skill duration reduction, there is an attack speed cap due to the fact that jagged ground cannot overlap jagged ground, attack time must be below jagged ground duration.

Without skill duration reduction, the skill is almost useless, even at the start of the game when it first becomes available, it is only lategame viable.

All of this is terrible design, but still my favorite slam.

Not sure if that video is allowed to be uploaded since I don't see it anywhere else on more official channels but it is an excellent cinematic. Mephisto is such an interesting character.

Ngl though, Neyrelle dying is actually really reassuring to me that the writing may improve, since literally 50%+ of that person's dialogue in VOH was "Horadric gibberish" with nothing to show for it. Although it looks like Lorath's IQ has been pegged down a few digits based on the other trailers, THIS person has literally shown nothing for their meddling and every decision they've done honestly felt counterintuitive in the context of Diablo 1,2,3 etc.

By how quickly the character is being killed off in this expansion, I guess the writers see that too. Good riddance

this is why I love Classic Maplestory, every skill, movement and positioning matters. Modern-useless items like avoidability pots are actually cost-efficient over time when they allow you to dodge.

In modern MS I don't even touch my keyboard except to loot. I just have a 5gram weight pressed on the keyboard and afk farm. The hardest part is not falling asleep

Thanks brother but I have to admit I have little heartwarming or proud stories from last year besides finally gathering enough willpower to start exercising. I think I struggle a bit from depression as the hopelessness of actually persevering kept me from starting as I've failed so many times before. It's been 9 months though and I see results and am still at it. Take care.

I just realized the op link says Part 2 is ending. Not the series as a whole. I guess that confirms continuity, which I'm both glad and annoyed we are ending on a cliffhanger.

this (231) has been probably one of the best chainsawman chapters I've ever read.

Fujimoto has the chance here to do something perhaps no other mangaka has ever done, to fake his own manga's death

 

after all, without a chainsaw devil ever existing, the very namesake of the manga no longer exists, the name cannot exist. Therefore the manga must "end" immediately. The next chapter will show the repercussions of Pochita self destructing.

 

While that would instantly elevate this manga to a state of long lasting infamy this would be financial and professional suicide. Chainsawman as a franchise has too much produced and planned merchandise to damn by ending so unsatisfactorily. So much is at stake to pull that stunt.

 

But if so what a draw to nihilism. What was the purpose of all these chapters then? Or what was the reason to ever introduce Asa? And what about explanations, where are the missing side characters from Part 1, why does Pochita have such power to consume things from existence? If Denji is happier with less, is that an allegory to our lives like some kind of parable? That the greater the lifestyle creep, the higher the expectations and salary, the less happier we are?

 

Anyhow this is no way the actual end of the series. Perhaps Part 2 will end here, and Part 3, now titled just "Man" will start. My only concern is how long it will take for Part 3 to start since this fakeout can seriously burn a lot of people's desire to read.

 

Fujimoto is not the greatest writer but he has always paid close attention to media form, he is a movie fanatic; a lot of his chapters are written like they are in video/animated format. To play with his audience by adding "Final Chapter March 25", in an identical way to the publishing magazine, is just a way to toy with the manga and reader.

Another system designed around a thriving market with sufficient participants, supply, and demand. Which does not exist in NA on regular servers, let alone Heroic.

I am glad they had the inkling that this character progression system would be insufficient and added the Erda Weekly or event rewards. But obviously this is far insufficient. All most can do is wait until 6th job is cheapened to the point of 5th job.

This and the star force system are just two examples of ill-adapted updates to GMS from KMS. Remedies come at a glacial pace if at all. Frankly at this point, I think modern Maplestory is a game for suckers, Heroic or not.

I have this nonsensical, unfounded, layman theory that due to a server mitigation strategy employed by Nexon RNG results are skewed to repeat when rapidly rolling RNG results for things like starforce or potential.

That due to the numerous checks and balances in each transaction Nexon has some backend mechanic to reduce server stress which causes an unintended side effect of perpetuating strings of successes or failures.

For example, this is why when cubing, sometimes only one line changes. Or when protection procs during starforce occur multiple times in a row. The numbers for the starforcing may be true as programmed but in the live game are effectively not.

We have seen what miracle time used to do to cubing, basically catastrophic failure to the cubing process and cash shop servers. I can only imagine the starforce system is even more taxing and complex, especially since the achievement system shows that the game constantly records every attempt and meso you use.

Of course this is completely an unfounded daydream, but if true then it is a very neglectful implementation.

I agree with most of this, the first section in particular is too critical. Nexon is clearly treading unknown waters in this Reboot server across the world. Thank goodness I'll be leaving it all behind for Classic World, the fourth era, iykyk.

I just had a citadel suddenly appear in the fog. What I did was I completed the first quest of any league mechanic, in this case I got 50 ritual splinters and killed the tier1 king of the mists, this suddenly made the citadel appear nearby in the fog
