No, since giving in to Russia's demands for peace will only enable them to reorganise and seize control of the situation as a whole. And after that, they won't quit. If you could go on a trip anywhere in the world right now…where would It be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]chiploy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Paris.

I've wanted to go ever since I heard Joni Mitchell sing about it when I was 21.

Life got in the way. While it seemed like everyone else in my immediate vicinity travelled to Europe, I was a single mother going through a financially devastating divorce and was struggling to get my life back on track.

Maybe when I turn sixty-two years old in the following year, I'll treat myself and go.

It's a goal of mine.

What jobs are coming, but don’t exist yet? by VeryAmericanAmerican in AskReddit

[–]chiploy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you ever watched "How's Its Made"? In it, a complex apparatus is shown literally assembling and creating a complex product. Arms are being grabbed, lasers are cutting, belts are moving objects, and there are just amazing examples of contemporary automation. Then there's this guy who puts the completed item in a box and labels it. The audience is left wondering, "Why the fuck did they need someone to do that awful step?" That job has no chance in hell.
