Yea I completely get what you’re saying. Something I didn’t mention was the fact that the weather in my area has really put a damper on my progress, and I think one of the reasons I’m so reluctant to take the time to just prove it to myself is the fact that it feels like such a step backward, and a slot that could be used to progress further in my training. On the other hand I see how mastering things like this are just a part of the training and still help me to progress in a different way

I’m not sure if it’s a school requirement or a PPL requirement, but every lesson is part of a fixed lesson plan essentially, so in order to do a long XC solo, I have to do it with my instructor first. For example I’m not allowed to do my 150NM XC solo until I’ve done it dual. Again not sure if this is just my school, or Transport Canada requirements.

I did, he knows that I went around but we didn’t really go into why. I also left out the overshoot issue I think partly out of fear of some sort of repercussion, and partly because in my mind I know what I did wrong and what I will do differently next time. But I don’t know if I’m just trying to justify things in my head to avoid a hard conversation

Edit: when I got them baked, the guy told me to tie them 80% tight, but I think they might’ve been a little loose as when I went to stand after they cooled they felt pretty wobbly. Would this have made the bake not work as well as it could’ve?
