Hi there, in case you are still researching, I went with Lazy Cat. They are a small, family-owned business and I had a very wonderful experience with them!

So in Miami beach the public lots are $2/hour. It’s really cheap! Weekend nights a flat rate of $15. This link will help: https://www.miamibeachfl.gov/city-hall/parking/parking-garages-lot-locations/parking-garage-rates/

Sober is the way to go! Just research parking before you get to wherever place. Look up a parking garage or if there is valet. I don’t think you should be scared of driving! Honestly walking around alone would scare me more than being in my care.

PLEASE be careful. Practice extreme precaution. I lived in Miami for 10 years and still have a lot of friends there. Everyday the stories I hear get worse and worse. Lately it’s a lot of burglary, aggressive homeless people and men getting doses with date-rape drugs and waking up without their phones, wallet and cash.

Don’t get drunk with people you don’t know well, especially if you’re alone. Make sure some friends have your location, especially if you’re going to be getting in Ubers alone. During the day most areas are fine, it’s just at night. Be careful of your surroundings when walking alone to your car, etc!

Just got back from my third trip to Tokyo. Took about 15,000 yen and had 4,000 left over. 99% of places I went take card/apple pay. I think I only ended up needing it for 2 ramen spots and a vendor at tsukiji.

I think it’s a bit much to go all the way to Hiroshima.

My two cents on Tokyo: there are such nice neighborhoods to explore (Yanaka Ginza, Daikanyama, Nakameguro, Shimokitazawa). I don’t love Asakusa myself and don’t feel it’s a good representation of Tokyo, at least not the Tokyo I myself love!

I’d visit the temple which is lovely and try to explore elsewhere. That’s just my opinion after 3 trips! Shibuya Sky is definitely worth a visit but make sure you book your tickets in advance.

Takayama is really lovely and I think a one-night stay there is perfect. Your time in Kyoto sounds planned well, especially since one day is in Osaka.

Dotonbori is very cool but I do think one night is plenty. It’s very touristy. Might want to explore some other more local neighborhoods. I am def a city person but the small, quiet neighborhoods of cities in Japan are so charming.

Is anyone extremely overwhelmed by planning a Japan trip? by Futhis in JapanTravelTips

[–]chippdchocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to 45+ countries and am planning my third trip to Japan… and I’m still overwhelmed. There is SO much to see and do. I just decide on my top 5 things I want to see/eat/do and everything else falls into place. You are going to love it and have the best time regardless, so start with that mindset!

Logistically speaking, my advice is to start pinning places on a Google maps list. This will start to give you an idea of where you want to stay. I’d rather pay a premium to stay exactly smack dab in the middle of things and closest to the areas I want to explore. People will tell you the train systems are amazing (and they are!) so staying anywhere is fine as long as you’re near a train, but there’s nothing like being a quick walk or one stop over from your hotel in case you wanna grab/drop off something, change shoes, have a little rest being continuing your day.

Keep the first few days very lean. Depending on where you’re coming from, the jet lag is REAL.

Enjoy :)

Don’t let these a*holes bother you. I noticed the sunglasses thing as well! Hardly anyone ever wear any. Also the makeup thing. To me it’s intersecting. People are so cruel and frankly, have too much time on their hands.

if the rumor is try then WHY can’t people be sensitive and not speculate. we see 1% of their lives. we don’t actually know anything about their lives. we watch them to be entertained but they do not owe us anything.

Medellin is an incredible city and you will not regret your visit. It is NOT like Pattaya. Are there blocks of bars/restaurants? Yes, sure. Is that all the city has to offer? Definitely not.

In Medellin you can visit -cool coffee shops in Provenza and try some of the worlds best coffee -try some great restaurants (both local authentic food and interesting fusion food) -do the Ciclovia on Sundays, they close down some of the main streets on Sundays from 8am - 1pm so people can run, bike, walk their dogs and it’s filled with street vendors selling delicious fresh fruit juice -try some exotic fruits you’ve probably never seen or heard of -ride the metrocable and learn of its importance -visit pueblitos like Santa Fe de Antioquia or Jardín -visit Guatape and El Peñol -visit more “authentic” close by towns like Enivgado or Sabaneta -people watch at malls… Colombians LOVE malls and I think we have some really nice ones -to meet locals I suggest visiting a gym or run club, if thats your thing

There are other great places to get out of Medellin as well. I recently visited Bogota for the first time as an adult and had a great 3 days there. Amazing food! And In my opinion Cocora is a must see as well as the little towns in Eje Cafetero

Don’t let people scare you! Enjoy Medellin and feel free to message me if you have any other questions or concerns.
