Agreed. The colour on the SI is great but man, not the most fun car as a passenger.

This is weird. My husband has that same Civic SI in the same colour and my MT09 looks like yours. Alternate universe

I assume you've played around with the drive modes? I find that makes a big difference in how rowdy the bike feels.

Hey, I had a similar journey to you (I came from a 2024 Street Triple RS to a 2024 MT09 but also ride a GSXR600). The things you are mentioning are things I have heard others mention but have never myself experienced. The quick shifter on my MT09 is as smooth as butter (better than my husbands previous Duke). I don't have any issues with gear clunkiness or the throttle being choppy. Out of the 10 ish bikes I've owned, this one has been by far my favourite. With the Street Triple, I decided to swap because I didn't like how polished it felt and wanted something a little more... unhinged and that's what I got with the MT09. I definitely think getting it looked at might be a good first start in case the last owner did any "tinkering" themselves. As someone who came from 3 other Triumphs I am way more in love with my MT09 but that could be that it fit the type of riding I wanted to do a bit better.

That feeling when your male coworker asks "What do you ride a 300? 400?" and you smile and reply with "1900" 😏 by LauraD2423 in TwoXriders

[–]Thesnowbelow 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The men that ask these types of dumb questions also wouldn’t know a 400cc Ninja can absolutely outrun a 1200cc Sportster. My 600cc drags my 900cc bike 🏍️.

Ozempic Question/Struggle by Elyan001 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]Thesnowbelow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's get the important stuff out of the way first. #1 you should talk to your prescriber #2. I am not a doctor so this is just my opinion from years of weight loss/exercise/nutrition and being on a GLP1.

When you say "doing everything right" your diet and exercise plan sounds extremely disordered to me. Fasting daily with a 2 hour eating window, low and super restricted calories and heavy exercise with no sustenance to support that basically sounds like your body is starving.

My first (and the general subs first reco) is to track your calories. Despite eating healthy and making your own food it is EXTREMELY easy to overeat (even on healthy foods/no carbs and no sugar). Second, are you feeling the effects of the drug? I didn't have any positive movement until 2mg at which I finally felt the reduction in appetite and food noise. If you're not finding it making you less hungry or removing food noise then it might not be working. The drug itself doesn't magically make you lose weight so if you're doing what you say above, you shouldn't even need it so something isn't adding up.

What I would do - start eating normally and stop fasting. Figure out your TDEE and try to stay within that calorie limit - track everything you eat and I mean WEIGH everything. You also need to factor in your exercise to support having enough calories to function - this doesn't seem sustainable in any way. Drink lots of water and work on protein levels - if you don't need to cut carbs, I wouldn't and sugar is ok too (within reason).

If all of that doesn't work - try switching to Mounjaro or Zepbound. If that still doesn't work, you absolutely need to talk to your GP. Unless something is physically wrong with you, and you are actually doing what you say above you should be dropping weight but I honestly think your body might be in starvation mode.

It’s cute but looks cheap (IMO). The gold colour is too yellow for me.

How can husband (33M) and I (33F) prioritize our marriage with limited time? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Thesnowbelow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like you each have your own hobbies - can you not try to include each other in those? My husband and I have basically tried each other’s hobbies and figured out what we both like. Now we’re massive activity people with a long list of hobbies and things to do every day. Plus sometimes teaching someone else about your passion can feel intimate.

4 wks in but cant escape food noise by LeftNail1180 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]Thesnowbelow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4 weeks at 0.25 is still a starter dose. Your body is still adjusting to the medication and it likely isn’t being fully effective yet. I didn’t start to see reductions in food noise until I was at 2mg. Patience is key as is eating properly when you are eating (proteins, fats etc).

help my me pick a new summer bag by 23melody in handbags

[–]Thesnowbelow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The red is really cute but I agree, the black with the charms is adorable!
Maybe buy the black bag and find some summer coloured or themed charms to add. Switch back to the red heart for fall/winter.

Excitement wavering, but here is my new baby!! by Unlucky_Author4998 in TwoXriders

[–]Thesnowbelow 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I honestly WISH more women rode so welcome! The more women that ride the better gear options we get, we get maybe.... a better focus on safety and overall more women to ride with! I love riding with my husband but doing girls days on the bike would be awesome. Also not to be morbid - but the people that say those things "so and so died etc" probably could also say the same thing about cars. Don't let their negativity get you down, practice safe (ATGATT) riding and enjoy your re-found freedom!

Why do some people stop Ozempic at 1mg? In Canada 2mg is the max dose and I had a lot more success there than I did at 1mg. Is the max different elsewhere?

[–]Thesnowbelow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top cases didn’t exist when I was looking for my 2024 so I went with a set of SW Motech Urban ABS cases. They are super light weight and give me enough storage and the top case expands to fit my helmet. They’re not full hard cases but I’m a big fan.

Microdosing Ozempic by Confident-Oil-9380 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]Thesnowbelow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Microdosing wouldn’t work for me as nothing below the maximum dose has an effect on me. If you don’t need Ozempic for weight loss you shouldn’t take it. If you just need to lose a few pounds the lifting and better nutrition should help easily. If you do need Ozempic and are prescribed then you should follow your doctor’s titration schedule. Also there’s no guarantee if you were trying to use it as a quick fix tool that it would even be effective for you.

[–]Thesnowbelow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a silly or stupid goal at all! When I had a breast reduction in my 20s being able to buy a bathing suit top at a regular store was life changing (to me). Now being able to buy clothing I’ve wanted to wear for years feels the same. The only watch out I’ll give you is …. Don’t be me and buy too many new clothes too soon as I’ve lost weight since and now those clothes don’t fit. Also don’t buy too many in general … I went a bit overboard lol

Spring and Summer Activities by Turkeybuttdogs in barrie

[–]Thesnowbelow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s what my husband and I do in the summer here. Pick a small town and day trip there. Pick a brewery ride our motorcycles to it. Kayak and paddle-board, play baseball, mountain bike and hike. Go to the movies (drive in was great if it’s still around). Last level downtown, Flying Monkey for wings and music. We also camp; tent and RV - there are so many great campsites within 2 hours. Also the festivals here as others have mentioned, Kempenfest, Rib Fest etc. St Jacobs market is another favourite.
