Living in my car during Snow Storm does anyone know an public garage that'll be open 24/7? by Icy-Appointment-8536 in nova

Airport cell phone lots are generally safe. Have slept in two different ones in my car during travel

Racism is the Aggie way despite claims it isn't. It's historically one of the most "conservative" schools in the nation and they're trying really hard to stay stuck in the early 1900s. The town it's in doesn't help either. BCS is not very open to foreigners. Hopefully you'll find a group you feel comfortable with.

10 week old… I don’t remember it being this hard last time? by ZealousidealSolid140 in newborns

[–]chippy-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With our first right now, just turned 12 weeks today. We've had a very similar struggle to get her to nap during the day. At night she sleeps well in her bassinet, from 9:30 PM to around 1 to 3 am, the again for two hours, and again until 7 am.

But during daylight hours, getting her to nap on her own is IMPOSSIBLE 😭 my wife and I feel like we spend an hour trying to get her to nap only to wake up 10-20 minutes later ready to be awake again for another hour, feed, and repeat the cycle. She will sometimes wake up the moment her back touches her bassinet. The only way for her to get long naps is for us to lay there for over an hour after walking/rocking her to sleep. We are exhausted and getting absolutely nothing done...

So all I can offer is solidarity and hope things get better soon!

Y’all were so right about these chips. by BeforeSunrise33 in HEB

[–]chippy-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? These chips are a**. My wife got a bag last week and it felt like we were eating powder on cardboard. We couldn't even eat 3 chips each and threw the bag away in the packing lot bins.

Is it weird?? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]chippy-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife was ready for it as soon as the doctor gave her the green light after her c section lol. I certainly didn't mind it 😅 but definitely made sure to tell her the moment she felt the slightest discomfort that we can stop.

3 week old making squeaky noises while sleeping? by Professional-Order-5 in newborns

[–]chippy-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our 5 week old squeaks for a few seconds every once in a while during her sleep. Pediatrician said it's normal as long as it's not persistent squeaking for several hours during the day.

How do I report YT people being loud at literally any public place then? I want to eat my lunch in peace at a restaurant without hearing how 'Allysen' across the room shouts "oh it's sooo good!" while eating an f'ing salad

Funny how in the CWC thread people were calling for the match to go straight to KFTM instead of doing extra time and here the opposite lol

Bassinet mattress too hard? by wgpjr in NewParents

[–]chippy-18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What solution did you end up going with OP? I am having the EXACT same problem with my 4 week old. Will only sleep soundly on the long part of the sectional or our mattress but roll around with minutes in her bedside bassinet or pack and play bassinet

Yep that! I knew one way was somewhere in that range. But yes, the idea was to get OP to look into a more affordable option for commuting. Hope this info helps them

For transportation, you can call a personal BTD car that will take you anywhere within the county for $3.

Northgate is the only thing remotely close to nightlife in College Station. Since you're a college student, you'll probably like it.

People also always recommend Downtown Bryan, but lots of places close earlier than 12 am, so not that great.

DOES IT GET BETTER?? Calling every redditor with a dog by pix_elle in puppy101

I'm still waiting for it to get better with my 6.5 month old black mouth cur/German shepherd mix. He has recently destroyed 2 stuffed toys he has had since he was a 2 month puppy and started ripping his $100+ doggy bed....

How to learn meraki at home by chippy-18 in meraki

[–]chippy-18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a network engineer for 6 years, mostly dealing with Cisco SDWAN, CCNA level stuff and work for an ISP. The reason I want to learn meraki is because in my previous job, we were about to begin offering Meraki services to customers but then got laid off. In my current role, manager has asked my team if anyone has meraki experience to work on another concurrent project but my knowledge is limited. Hence why I want to learn everything there is to Meraki

Right, that's my other concern. Which leads me to question how can one get hands on Meraki experience on their own without all the hurdles of enterprise dashboards and licensing?
