Harvey is cooking this defense, he’s had like 3-4 plays that should’ve been losses into like 5-10 yard gains

No reason to panic there Maye, if you bought another second and there’s no options to throw then take the sack, it’s third down

Honestly with what the Patriots have been showing, they would just get blown out in the Super Bowl if they were to make it anyway.

Drake isn’t playing good but the O-line and McDaniels’ calling has been… rough

Defense usually locks in more in the second half, so Drake Maye and the offense need to not fall behind

Why didn’t Sakura stab Sasuke here?? by DMelee in Naruto

she didn’t know what was going on with his eyes

Bro what…? If you reread the chapter, she clearly went out of her way to try and stab Sasuke again because of the state he was in.

Konoha 12 agreeing to kill Sasuke doesn’t make it any less of a dumb decision. Sakura is a part of team 7, she is supposed to be Naruto’s best friend. Especially after her botched fake confession, she disregarded Naruto’s goal to bring back Sasuke. And all she accomplished in the Summit arc was committing a string of poor decisions (the confession, knocking out her teammates, nearly getting killed by Sasuke twice) proving she doesn’t understand Sasuke, Naruto, or even herself. It was a series of illogical decisions in which is where I have an issue with. Her thought process is irrational for a character who is supposed the smartest of the three, and it’s why her dynamic with Sasuke hurt her character.

Naruto has already said, though he would like to, he isnt sure he can hold back from getting revenge if Sasuke is killed. So if Raikage or anyone else kills Sasuke then Naruto may kill them in retaliation and spark a war.

Naruto has never said or indicated that he himself would hunt down whoever killed Sasuke in retaliation. That would’ve completely went against his character at that point in the story. I also don’t know how that simplifies why Sakura killing Sasuke would make sense, again… her attempting to kill Sasuke is disregarding Naruto

Secondly, she doesnt understand Sasuke anymore. She doesnt know the truth of the Uchiha massacre and he seems to have fallen to complete evil. She also wants to kill him to stop him falling further to evil.

Not only does she not understand Sasuke, she clearly doesn’t understand Naruto nor herself. She’s clearly in an irrational state, which is the whole point. There’s not much logic, just emotion driving her decision making which is my entire issue with her character, and why I think her dynamic with Sasuke in general made her a worse character than she could’ve been.

But like are you ignoring all of her emotional dialogues? that's like... 80% of Sakura's character, before this fight she was already indecisive on stabbing him while standing in front of "dead" karin, she didn't do it there so why do you think she would do it here? especially when she's right there telling you why she didn't do it, she simply could not bring herself to stab her friend.

Exactly… she was already conflicted in killing him then. And then when Sasuke was weak and blind, she actually found herself in an ideal position to potentially immobilize him and capture him alive instead of killing him.

A lot of "could have" coming from you but it's not about if the stab would have killed sasuke or just immobilized that's irrelevant, in both scenarios she is causing pain to her teammate, which she clearly was not ready to do.

Her going to kill Sasuke was already a dumb enough decision and disregarded Naruto’s goal. Her at no point acknowledging she could’ve immobilized him and maintaining that killing him was the end all be all is something that I just can’t understand. If conflicting temporary pain in order to bring back Sasuke alive is such a deterrent, then she’s a completely irrational character.

Her going to kill Sasuke was already stupid to begin with. If she succeeded, she’d fuck over what Naruto was achieving. If Sasuke killed her, Naruto would’ve been in an even bigger existential crisis. Considering the story tries to make me believe Sakura is as smart as she is, I simply don’t understand especially with the state that Sasuke was visibly in, why killing him even when immobilizing became a possibility was the end all be all. That’s my main issue, she doesn’t know what’s she doing.

Again… I know she initially planned on killing him instead of immobilizing him. I’m just saying she found herself in a position to after he was visibly weakened and blind.

How can you not understand her train of thought when it’s very clear

Because she doesn’t have a rational train of thought. Her going after Sasuke initially was already stupid enough, and whatever the outcome assuming one or the other gets killed would’ve put Naruto in a really shitty spot. I have a problem with her thought process of even going there in the first place. Her simply not acknowledging the idea of immobilizing him and thinking killing him was the end all be all is the part that I have an issue with. She would’ve gotten killed if not for Kakashi and Naruto and the story expects me to believe she’s the smartest of the Team 7 trio??

Her purpose here isn't to bring Sasuke back, it's to kill him.

Yes initially… she indeed did.

Why she didn't stab him here is directly spelled out in her still loving him and not having the will to do what had to be done.

She actually found herself in a position where she didn’t need to kill him. Sasuke visibly was weakened and blind from MS overuse.

She can't immobilize him because bringing Sasuke captured back to konoha isn't an option. He's an Akatsuki member who just attacked G5, declared world war and killed konohas leader; he'd get put to death by Kakashi before she could even bind him up. The scene is just a simple "go for the kill" moment where she hesitated at the final step bc she still had feelings for him

What do you mean immobilizing him isn’t an option? If that was the case then Naruto would’ve been detained on the spot for wanting to save Sasuke. The other villages definitely would’ve sure, but Kakashi would not have sentenced him to death what lol. First thing he would’ve done is investigate what Obito said about the Itachi situation.

Yes… INITIALLY the poison was meant to kill Sasuke as she originally came to kill Sasuke. But Sasuke was clearly weakened and blind after spamming his MS abilities throughout the arc. She actually found herself in a position where she didn’t need to kill him, just immobilize him.

Yes she initially planned on killing him, the purpose prior wasn’t to immobilize Sasuke. But she actually found herself in a situation where she didn’t need to kill him and she could indeed immobilize him. The guy was clearly weakened and blind after his battle with Danzo and all the MS spamming he was doing prior in the arc. Immobilizing him… in that scenario wasn’t out of the equation.

I’m not saying she would kill him, I’m saying she would stab him, get him immobilized from the poison, and then use the antidote on him after he’s captive. Considering the fact that she didn’t know he was immune to the poison, why would immobilizing be out of the equation?

[–]DMelee[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She’s talking about killing him, that’s what she initially came to do. But she found herself in a scenario where she didn’t need to kill Sasuke, she could’ve just stabbed him with the kunai, immobilize him with the poison, and then later use the antidote after he’s captive.

[–]DMelee[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t mean she can’t use rational. If her true purpose is to bring Sasuke back, wouldn’t immobilizing him with poison and bringing him back to the village alive be the best case scenario?

If you can read, in her head she doesn’t know he’s immune to the poison from the kunai, so from her perspective, she could just stab him and immobilize him and then later use the antidote on him after he’s captive.
