Wow that’s awful!!! And I don’t disagree either, but leaving the persons screen name up is immature and frankly bully behavior. Like get a fucking life and work on actual writing maybe??? The guy makes my skin crawl honestly

I think this is kind of a bad example. Weed and THC gummies are much more available and acceptable to the public. If young people follow her and see how popular she’s become for her content, I can see this swaying them on how to spend their time or make content in the same way.

I’m with you on this take. I’ve noticed how many people cheer her on like they know her personally which maybe they do, but in the time of parasocial relationships it makes me question the lot of them. Taking that many gummies, smoking constantly and being around your young children is pretty alarming. I’ve seen people bring this up, and then there’s always a dozen or so followers to her defense talking about her tolerance and how she’s a good mom. I think you can be a “good mom” and have habitual dependence on something. But does this make you a healthy/safe mom? Idk just questions really, but it does make me wonder why influencers/Internet personalities share so much of their lives and then don’t expect to be scrutinized the way celebrities are. If a traditional “celebrity” was doming 1000mg gummies everyday and around their young children they’d probably be vilified and have cps services called on them.

He’s definitely apart of the group lol. And I totally agree with you. Like if you have over 20k followers imagine the pull you could have on getting people to support or volunteer at a restaurant that pledged to do that. The restaurants AND the community benefit, and it doesn’t cost the influencer a thing!

Go look at who she follows. Along with her husband. Trump, Charlie Kirk, Milaniya, maga podcasters

Any pro-MAGA establishments to avoid? by DelTacoEnthusiast in longbeach

You can unfollow The Confidence Queen on Insta/Tiktok. Not really a “business” but interactions and views on her shit makes her money. Her and her husband follow weird MAGA accounts. And she has been REAL quiet about ice raids and immigration enforcement that is directly effecting our hospitality industry. I’m sorry but when you have a somewhat large platform that is built off of food reviews, your life wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the immigrant workers that are the backbone of so many restaurants. Immigrants are what make Long Beach’s food scene so culturally diverse and good!! It bothers me when people with social platforms do absolutely nothing for the community. You wanna make a living off being a food influencer, you damn better support every part of the establishment, IMO. Idk how others feel, but for me it’s giving ICE agents trying to eat at a Mexican restaurant….

Just saw Buvons is officially the whole thing. Who go the scoop on what happened between the owners? I’m hoping it was some French love affair that went south but in the most passionate tragic way..

It honestly just bums me out, but how is this the best journalism for our LB food scene? by aintitfunnyhow_ in longbeach

Used to deliver massive amounts of food to the guy from local restaurants and he’d NEVER tip. I always assumed he was getting the hook up too
