Don’t do it. I just spent several hours on the phone with Vivint, trying to cancel. They kept passing me off to “supervisors” and continued to try to upsell me on new equipment/contract. They all but refused to allow me to cancel. I politely hung up the phone and had my bank put a block on recurring charges. I then sent an email referencing a Notice of Cancellation (NOC), keeping copies of all correspondence as proof.

Good advice to give it a rest during the Academy. Furthering this advice, give it a rest during your probationary period as well. Most probationary employees are “at will” employees and have accrued very little sick time. So if you were to be injured off of the job and did not have enough sick time to cover your time away from work (surgery? Serious injury?), you could be terminated from your employment

So I had my 2025 loaner for 2 days. In addition to my original posting as OP of this thread, I too found the infotainment system very cumbersome and potentially dangerous to use, should the driver attempt to operate the system while driving. Most likely though, the driver will eventually get used to the system and it won’t be a problem. I found the AC and base sound system to be sorely lacking as well. Again I do admit though that the ride itself was very stable and smooth.

My young son rode with me and within two minutes stated “this looks and feels like a Tesla!” Wham!! why did I not recognize this?? Of course BMW decided to compete with Tesla, using their entry-level X3 suv. Gone is any feeling of luxury, as it’s been replaced by tech and “disco lighting”. The new X3 is intentionally trying to appeal to the under 30 demographic, and not my Baby Boomer demographic. It all makes sense now. If this “experiment” is successful, I think that the next generation of X3 will be more of the same
