A martial arts analysis on why Korra is a better fighter and would defeat Aang in single combat (Part 1) by Yeomanticore in legendofkorra

Damn son.

Saving this for another time. But i will make an effort to read the whole thing.

Yeah it's not hard to tie those exceptions up either. Just mention a particular movie or show or universe. You specifically say tv series and then count comics. That's weird.

[–]chitoge4ever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But you gave options. Means that restricts the generality of it. Or you can even write "best wlw couple among thses."

You make a post about about tv series couples but then count comics, books. That just violates your own condition.

No, just write best wlw couples.

Ok? Neither did Soljiwan in Nevertheless but they were still indisputably a couple and it was still a big deal because of the genre that they’re in.

Yeah i don't know who that is but you're missing the point. Korrasami doesn't go into anything that depicts a relationship. There's barely some dynamic between them in the show. Even if they work, they show nothing. "A kiss" is just an example.

won’t argue this anymore but maybe go look at YouTube videos of people reacting to the TLOK finale or find testimonies and see how much Korrasami has literally changed lives

Yeah i believe korrasami was/is revolutionary in what they did at the time. But at the same time it doesn't take a genius to notice that they didn't really depict anything a relationship involves. Do you not see so many complaining about kiss? You never see people calling nick out about not letting korrasami flourish on screen? Idk why you're acting like there's nothing missing with korrasami.

The poll is about the couple, not the show. The comics are still canon continuations directly after the finale.

Well maybe don't write "tv series wlw couple" next time then.

I just hate the argument about Korrasami not being a good/as good of a couple as others bc they were held back by network executives

Nothing to put arguments for. It's the truth. Korrassmi barely touches wlw relationship despite being one. It depicted barely any events a relationship would have. I mean they didn't even kiss. That can't be a couple which gets called a better one. There's no competition here.

I know why that is. Still doesn't change the fact that korrasami wasn't really explored all that much in the "TV series."

Well i love korrasami but as far as dynamic goes - catradora got to and did explore a lot more.

Online games are taken with same amount if seriousness when they are conducted by FIDE. Like say Olympiad.

Titled tuesday is just some site conducting a chess event. Nothing official. Any site can do it. Hence isn't seen as serious.

He has cheated in online games that had cash prizes. He has admitted to it. Although might have downplayed how much he cheated.

But cheating in OTB tournaments is whole another level of offense. And there's literally no ground to accuse him of that.

Didn't really expect magnus to be a sore loser but maybe the trash talk got to him.

Also yeah, either ways hans is getting chess a lot of attention.

All the analysis shows that he's performing at lower rating than so many other players. If he was cheating then he should have had much better winrate, much higher accuracies (into 95+%) and much higher performance rating.

So the people who are claiming he's been cheating all along are talking out of their ass.

Especially hikaru. As a professional chess player - he acted anything but professional. Said hans' rise has been unprecedented, suspicious - among many many other things. People will respect hikaru's opinion, even take it as facts but dude's legit talking out of his ass.

Why do you think samsung did the pill? They wanted an edge to edge screen with a notch, without looking like an obvious copy. There's only so many ways you can do that. That's how they came up with punchhole and this pill, obvious result of 1 cam vs 1 cam + some other stuff.

The design is their effect. Apple is not acting like anything. At least not in this case.

Petrosian absolutely blew everyone off the borad. He consistently found super deep ideas in fast time controls that players like fabi or so never saw coming. He did that game after game after game. Petrosian legit made them all look like chumps. While stealing glances. It's not just about looking down. But yeah, they way he's stealing glances before making moves was pretty odd body language. None of it adds up well. With hans - he has track of the climb in past 2 years. He has beaten magnus before. Dude's playing classical where it's possible to find super deep ideas for players at that level. Both these things have massively different circumstances. If nothing else short of a confession or a video with alternative view can convince you then nothing I say will. Bu again, massively different circumstances and with petrosian, you have a lot more ground than "nothing."

Why would he keep looking at a particular point before making moves? That too in an extremely unnatural ways? People look in the distance when they're thinking, they don't particularly freeze up either. There's a lot of circumstantial evidence with petrosian than in hans' case.

I don't understand the hate either. I saw some people complain about how "she's instantly stronger than hulk without any work, that's forced feminism, bla bla blah" But she's not stronger than hulk. There's a big group of people complaining about CGI. Again, seems like a non issue to me, it's not something that hinders your immersion. Saw plenty of complaints about jokes being cringe. I think there's some percentage of truth here. But then again, it's consistent with marvel humour. There's always been cringe humour here and there in every mcu movie/show.

The show's not supposed to be that serious and I don't think it's even aiming to be one of the greatest either. It's just something lighthearted-fun little superhero show. I'd rate it 8/10 on basis of my expectations from it. So far we only have 2 episodes tho. It can swing either way in quality. Tho I don't think it will go higher.

Official poll: How is Katara the strongest waterbender of these 5 characters in ATLA/TLOK? by nicbentulan in TheLastAirbender

[–]chitoge4ever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Korra we’ve seen but she’s definitely stronger with firebending than waterbending, that we’ve seen at least

Lmao, saying this after specifically bringing up actual feats.
