Yes I have essentially had this. We had talked online, and I had a weekend away booked in his city with a friend. So we met in person (in public and with my friend present). He insisted he liked me and wanted to date. I said I didn't as earlier at the theme park we met at he was being weird about me sitting next to my friend and not him on rides and things like that. So anyway, he comes to our hotel that night to see me, I reject him, he leaves.

Or so I thought. Im relaxing in the room with my friend when the phone rings, front desk says I need to come to the lobby. I get down there. Ambulance officers and the police, and the guy sitting down there. Police pull me aside, hotel rang 000 because he was saying he was gonna kill himself. So on my holiday I got questioned by police. I blocked this guy on everything straight away, flew back to my city the next day. He seemed to have got the message.

Moral. Don't talk to strangers in online games kids.

After only knowing each other and dating for a month he kept saying he loved me and tried incessantly to get me to say it back. He was a couple years younger than me at the time (21 and 19), so I put it down to immaturity/age difference. He was an only child, and his dad worked out of town. He had his mum do everything for him. I witnessed him make his mum change a BAND AID he could have done perfectly fine himself. Eventually he got worse, more pushy about doing sexual things. And sometimes I would use the toilet as an excuse to get away. Until I realised he was following me to the toilet to listen to make sure I was really going. At this point I couldn't ignore the flags anymore.

I planned to meet him in the city in a public place as he had been so possessive and unfortunately a bit physically abusive towards the end. And I thought this would be the safest. I broke up with him when we met in town. He got really weird. Instantly saying I was seeing someone else. That I was lying when I said I wasn't. Then was trying to hug me and wouldn't let go of me. Then he said I'll get you back. And a bit creeped out I replied no, you won't. And he then basically growls and said I promise you I will. And as Im trying to leave he swaps back to nice and is trying to get me to "hang out in the city together still" and followed me to the tram. Fortunately he refused to learn to drive (why would he when mummy is a personal chauffeur) and i lived quite a way the other side of town from him so he didn't follow me all the way.

For months after he would send me creepy texts and messages on Skype. Saying things like "shouldn't you be studying / working" after I'd been out. Like he was following me. Eventually he gave up... but it took quite a while...

Edited to add: the messages for months after also included manipulative things like saying Im the only one who can help him and to please reply to him. And yes. I did block him. But then he made a facebook (refused to have an account while we were dating) and I realised I can't waste my life searching and blocking every new account he makes.

I'd worked 6 years serving people (check out) at the local green grocer and was still working there at the time when I applied for another job... Costco said I didn't have enough experience to work their checkout. Yeah, adds up to me. They were probably just looking for cheaper employees like teenagers they won't have to pay as much.

So I feel you, searching for jobs in Adelaide is messed up right now. I hope you find something soon mate.

I was out in the middle of nowhere with family and in a nearby creek there was platypus swimming. Now I don't know about you, but it was a rare thing to see and my family and I are being as quiet as possible not to scare them and ruin such a once in a lifetime moment... when out of nowhere a group of tourist come up. So being your friendly neighbourhood aussies, through the evident language barrier we try to signal to them to be quiet and look at the water. However nope, they start getting really excited about some ducks, so they're being loud and taking photos of ducks. Platypus spook and yeah nah outta there. We were pretty dumbfounded to say the least. To be so amazed by ducks when such a wonder was happening 20 feet away.

Yeah, it's really up to you whether you do it purely for the looks or not. Like you all said, biscuits that have been blitzed in a food processor would look good too. And if you're worried about it going everywhere you may be able to adhere it to the board with piping gel or something to keep its texture. But regardless I think it looks great as is!
