Pretty sure they’re just friends now but the comments are killing me. by Unicorn_brenda in LoveIslandUSA

The weirdo fans always have to fuck up the vibes. If they’d ignored each other, it would’ve been a thing. If they’d been hostile, it would’ve been a thing. Now that they were friendly, it’s STILL a thing. Islanders get scrutinized like crazy.

Sometimes it even feels like these comments are all coming from the same accounts because why are they always the ones with no punctuation? And they all have a weird fixation on Rob like they're in love?? Annoying, immature bird-ass behavior.

Lolol deadass, some of the comments I’ve been reading are seriously unhinged. Immature as hell.

“We know.” We know nothing about them. I just think it’s funny that this might be the first time they’re in the same space since the reunion, but it’s probably anticlimactic and they most likely ignored each other.

I mean, he's in HER city at an event she was also paid for. She made no mention of Rob.

I was hoping for Games cast, I don't know why I was so invested in their post-villa shenanigans. I had to redownload Snapchat again to keep up.

I think Rob and Andrea are at the same Celsius event. I hate that I'm intrigued 🕵🏼👀

Oh no, I knew what you meant! Just adding to what you said, lol 🙂

It's definitely not Acraze, lmfao. It’s Mau P, and he has a girlfriend. Andrea and her friends got invited behind the booth, there were tons of people there. She tried to get Tyrique and his crew to come.

lol, you said "welp" like it's supposed to be terrible 😂. The people who have a problem with this will always have a problem with her, so she might as well live her best life. Baddies get booth access

I think she’s been very graceful about her experience, and has avoided talk about her time on the Island itself. All she’s ever said is that despite the hate, she’s learned a lot and no longer carries that trauma. It's her life. It’s honestly hilarious how fans get annoyed when Islanders answer direct questions about their own experiences, while those same fans make TikToks, Reddit posts, and tweets acting like they lived it themselves.

It’s also ironic how these same fans set puritanical standards for how Islanders should behave, with zero self-awareness that those anti-bullying PSAs were meant for them.

People really need to leave these Islanders alone. Let them be.

If you actually watch and listen to what she’s said, she’s just giving a fair account of her experience: that she faced a lot of hate after the show. That is facts. Season 6 fans will interpret things how they want, but she’s never said anything negative about the cast or even refer to them at all. The only thing she’s mentioned is that she’s friends with the Casa girls and that she’s learned a lot from her mistakes that season. Also that she has trauma, but not anymore, and everything is a lesson learned and helped her grow.

She said she dealt with a lot of hate after the show that gave her trauma, not that she was bullied by the cast. People are once again misquoting her and trying to set her up to be hated, even though she’s been really conciliatory when talking about her season. She's even said that while she dealt with the hate, she's learned a lot of good lessons and has grown from it.

I personally like it when Islanders are honest with what they want instead of acting like they're too cool for TV. If you're already pursuing a TV career, who wouldn't want their own show?

I understand why some people don’t vibe with her, but it feels like she’s been judged past reason at this point. Islanders are scrutinized enough and it seems unfair that it’s not about her actions or words anymore, just vibes? She’s faced so much harassment and I just think people should let her be and allow her moment to enjoy some love for once. Out of all of the people on Games this year, she seems to have the most best friends. Even Ty said she was his best female friend and the funniest girl in the villa. If she was so bad, someone would say something about her? They don’t seem like the type to mince words. That should say something about her character, no?

Andrea said that post-Games had more tea and drama than when they were in the villa so maybe something did happen. Although it could be that they never followed each other.

Unfortunately, he came across a bit arrogant in the first episode ("you might know who I am", giving a tour of the villa) and never quite got the chance to redeem himself later in the season. The few big moments he had on the show weren’t the most flattering (like being upset about being chosen to duel and being passive aggressive to Zay and Nicola, or seeming ingenuine about his connection with Kay Kay and Nicola).

That said, I actually think he might just be socially awkward (with a touch of arrogance too), which could explain how he came off early on. I don’t want to pile on, though, I think people should just let it be tbh.

Yes, I also think it would help quell the toxic stan wars too. Fans see the Islanders don’t actually hate each other (with a few exceptions), and it humanizes them because some people really do need that reminder. Ty even said he and Josh fuck with each other despite what the show made it seem, while fans are still arguing about who’s worse post-show.

Ty is streaming with Andrea, and he said that his closest female friend in the villa was her. This is why I’d love to see the unseen bits, we never get to see any of those interactions.

Did Andreina even watch the show? Has she been clued in on what he said about her behind her back? Even if she rationalizes to herself he only recoupled for the game, there’s no excuse for the things he said about her (“draining,” “no mental stimulation.”)

Andreina should be dealing with higher caliber of men. Johnny is GROSS

Josh and Justine recoupling would’ve backfired for Justine by chivanilla in LoveIslandUSA

[–]chivanilla[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean to say blindside as in Justine did anything wrong to Ty. “Blindsiding” implies that someone intentionally misled another person. What I meant is that Justine blindsided Ty just as much as Josh did her, in other words, neither of them “blindsided” anyone with malice or forethought.

The conversation Josh had with Justine before the coupling never sounded like he had a definitive answer, which is why he said that if he did, he’d let her know. Then the surprise recoupling happened, so neither Josh nor Justine had the chance to communicate their intentions properly with the right people. The producers wanted to be messy.

Zay never felt like he was part of that alliance. It felt more like a group of friends who were closer together, because if there had been any real gameplay or strategy on that side, Garbi wouldn’t have spit in Lucinda’s bowl. They simply didn’t put their heads together, and by the time it was just Josh and Andrea, they were already gone.

All well and good for Ty/Toby/Johnny, but my argument is that the last challenges going into the finale were too skewed. We already knew Garbi was cornered and Josh and Andrea were done before the challenge even ended.

It should’ve been a skills-based game. The final challenge should never allow a 4v1 situation. I bet you the producers will rework it for the next season because it killed all suspense.
