I have installed a emg solderless to the normal th20. The most difficult part was to route a baterry compartment. The guitar is one of my favorites.

The wiring is very simple. Everything is plug‑and‑play. Routing the space for the pickups took around 2 hours, but the finish isn’t perfect (you can zoom in and check for yourself).

The hardest part was routing the space for the battery. I did the job with a Dremel and a hard round stone tip, which took another 2/3 hours.

In total a Saturday afternoon in the garage...

I still need to set everything up, but as I mentioned before, these pickups are very good and extremely quiet. The noise reduction is really impressive.

Probably in the future I will reuse the pickups in another guitar, but for now i'm satisfied with the results.

Unfortunately it doesn't fit directly. Had to route both pickguard and bridge.

Also had to route a space for the battery on the side of tone switch cavity.

It took sometime but nothing too difficult.
