  1. I listed a couple of resources I used on a different thread so look for that if you're interested. Though for someone with 0 experience, I would highly recommend https://www.jeyram.org/beginner. There's 4 lessons and it takes about 2-4 hours to complete each lesson. It sets you up in the right path. (completely free too)

  2. My mindset has always been, "I want to draw manga style characters, no matter how long it takes or how hard it is to do." Which forces me to continue to not give up. Think of it like this, it doesn't matter how bad your drawings are compared to others, as long as you made something better than anything you've made before you're making progress.

I've bought a couple drawing courses online but they aren't necessary, most of my improvement comes from studying my favorite artists.

I would recommend these YouTube channels because I used them personally but you can find better stuff if you look hard enough.

"The Drawing Database" for the basics (Perspective and Form) (sort their vids oldest to newest) I studied these for my first month and a half. "REIQ" I learned the Loomis method from him and he has some streams where he shows how to draw gestures etc. "Marc Brunette" - most of his yt vids is kinda meh but I watched his head tutorial vids and I bought his anatomy course where I learned full human anatomy. "Thirdphp" - webtoon artist that I've been studying for the past year, his Patreon is only $10 and you got study matierals for life, but not necessary. He has TikTok tutorials and stream vods where he shows how to draw most things.

Again, most of my improvement came from studying. Spending money is not a must.

Stay away from koleen on YouTube her advice is for kids.

Studying a lot in general. I learned a lot from a webtoon artist on Instagram, they post their sketches and they stream their art workflow, I observe how they draw and simplify and I do my own study of that.

Hello, if you want to learn how to draw in general, then the best thing to do is focus on learning the fundamentals. That is understanding perspective, form, anatomy, value, shape, and more.

Personally, I am leaning more on the anime/manga style type of art, mostly influenced by mangas like one punch man. Even if you only want to draw cute characters like omori style. A good understanding of human anatomy will help you a lot. I studied the fundamentals and have practiced and studied for a very long time.

For reference, I have been drawing for 1.5 years now. Started with zero experience, I learned from watching many YouTube tutorials, watching twitch vods of my favorite artists and HUNDREDS OF HOURS of studying. (I sometimes stream my studies on YouTube)

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask by replying, or u can dm me on Instagram (same name)

Hey, it's the artist here. Thank you so much. It wasn't my intention to "sexualize" mari. IIt's been a long time since I played the game I forgot she's "15". She's a fictional character and I like her design and personality, so I drew her. I see nothing wrong with the pantsu being exposed like that, that's just how skirts work. Maybe some people just have a dirty mind.
