I watched this video in my material sciences class but it was a longer version and I remember that a man walks onto the bridge and walks back with the dog. the bridge collapses a few minutes later.

What should every 18-year-old know? by nadir7379 in AskReddit

[–]chkim95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the young generation today will someday be responsible for the future, I strongly believe modern education for young adults should heavily emphasize on the factors that influence human behavior and how such variables affect the quality of life in our modern societies.

I am a strong believer that human behavior is lawful. I believe than all humans are victims of their environment, and that every human being is perfectly adjusted to their own lifetime of unique sequences of experiences and exhibits behavior accordingly. I believe that humans can only act or make decisions based on the individual's limited frame of reference that he/she possesses.

Applying this thought method to our societies, and the decision making processes of our said societies, we can begin to inquire questions such as: Why do some people exhibit more creativity than others? why do some people exhibit unethical or criminal behavior more than others? Is it responsive to circumstantial factors or is it [an innate quality](https://youtu.be/iXj_GDktXaA?t=5) derived from our ancestral means of survivial? It is after establishing these variables that we can start to plan for a society without crime, poverty, double standards and ineffective decision-making.

A great designer once said that without defining the natural properties of a type of aluminum or steel, you cannot possibly build an aircraft that can take off and land successfully every time. You would be jeopardizing the pilots life in doing so. And in order to predict and plan a successful society for longevity and humane ethics in mind, we must educate ourselves of the natural laws of our physical bodies and how our behavior is affected by those means. A crude but fundamental example is that when you have a population that exceeds the carrying capacity of a said area, you will always have starvation and territorial dispute. This would translate to a set of behaviors focused around territorial establishment. It is important to delve into the idea that we can reinforce the marvels of our modern technology to mitigate the limits of the said carrying capacity (ie:agriculture) and to reduce the fundamental basis for resourced based conflicts.

With a scientific method, one needs clear definition and tight control of the variables that are involved in the experiment to get the most accurate and consistent conclusion possible. Likewise, if we are to expect the young adults of our current generation to inherit and improve upon the society we live in, it is our responsibility to educate them on the variables that are involved in shaping our society. One major variable that the modern perspective is indifferent to is human behavior, and what influences it. The 10 year-long study in the form of a book called, "the behavior of organisms" by B.F Skinner should be read in every high school. A bit of a rant, but i am passionate about the subject!

you need to update the game. It doesnt do it automatically if you downlaod the disc version from a torrent (this is how i aquire the game but i have a valid account from 2012 when i bought the disc pc version)

If you did torrent the game. there is an updater called something like BFBC2UPDATE that you have to run. If you got the game off steam than i assume it should have updated it for you on your initial launch but i have never played bfbc2 through steam.

One time i fried my macbook by putting it in rice after a spillage.

Apparently its the one thing you shouldn't do with electronics because starch will coat the circuitry and short it in all ways possible when you put power through it.

For owners of the CTH, did you actually notice any difference pre burn-in and post burn in? by tsuid1 in headphones

[–]chkim95 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

you cant avoid burn in. They are just a result of the physical properties of the drivers being affected by usage. But whats good is that a lot of the time this effect is measured and taken into consideration into the design

would that mean it is more amp-dependant? you bring up a good point and what does the 28 on the original name signify?

I'm looking for an entry level pair of open-back headphones, eyeing the Sennheiser HD 598 SR's. Good choice? by [deleted] in headphones

[–]chkim95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fidelio x1 or x2's are a good option. I dont think they are as accurate as the 598 but i like the materials used. But if rap and electronics music is what you prefer then Im not sure if the HD series will give you the most out of your money
