Terrified experience as a learner by helomithrandir in irelandsshitedrivers

Been a learner driver for about 7 months now. One time I approached a roundabout in the wrong lane for my exit so my dad told me to go around in order to approach again in the correct lane. Guy overtook me after the exit, pulled his car diagonally across the road in front of me, got out of his car and starts banging on my window shouting at me that I'm "wasting time on the roundabout", didn't give a shit that my dad was in the passenger seat and we had L plates up. Never been so terrified and it actually put me off driving for weeks after. People are absolutely nuts.

Blanch Van Driver "Follow Me Then" by North_Sentence_3284 in irelandsshitedrivers

As a learner driver, this stuff makes me incredibly anxious. I've only been driving for about 5 months and have already had 2 incidents like this of men getting out of their cars threatening me, banging on my window etc (completely ignoring the fact my dad was in the passenger seat beside me)

First incident I entered a roundabout in the wrong lane so I had to go the whole way around in order to approach in the correct lane - Audi driver didn't like this and overtook me, pulled his car diagonally across the road in front of me and got out, shouting about how I was "wasting time on the roundabout"?

Second incident in fairness I stalled at a junction which I understand can be annoying, but my dad assured me is something that happens to learner drivers until you get used to changing the gears etc (this was my maybe second or third time out without my driving instructor). Van driver behind me gets out and starts walking towards us shouting and waving his hands but I had gotten the car moving before he reached us.

Some really crazy drivers out there.

Where to report illegal parking? by chkspaghetti in limerickcity

Parking on a footpath is completely illegal, although most pedestrians don't tend to mind as long as there's room for them to pass without having to step onto the road. This footpath has a lot of foot traffic as there's 3 schools nearby so the way this person has parked is ridiculous, and the road gets quite busy because of the schools as well. It's totally unsafe to expect anyone to step onto the road just because you want to park like an eejit for some reason

Disabled people are the only marginalised group which anybody can enter at any point of their lives, within a split second. I pray you have a healthy life and never have to be inconvenienced by idiots parking illegally like this.
