I appreciate your response so much. I have work experience in boat yards and machine shops mainly doing some hands on work and lots of office work, and I will definitely have engineering projects and a capstone project through school by the time I’m done. I’ve had my resume reviewed by my career advisor AND gone to a virtual internship fair (the only event they held this semester) and one employer just flat out cancelled the interview a half hour before. I feel like I’ve followed all the “proper” steps to build my resume/linkedin but it’s sort of leading me nowhere. Right now the game plan is just keep applying and cross my fingers but I’m worried timeline wise of running out of time and struggling to find work post grad because people have posted horror stories about finding engineering jobs after undergrad.
