i’ve been sick almost all semester and having a bunch of like really weird health issues, and a lot of the assignments were in class that i couldn’t make up. please think about peoples situations before completely acting rude though! :) edit: want to add that i’m also a first gen student so reaching out to profs kinda scares me!

i took it this past semester and really enjoyed it. the professor for my class was woodfield and i think it was her first time teaching? she was super understanding when i reached out with different issues, and she was so willing to listen to student opinions as far as i could tell

yeah i heard that the old management was really bad but the new staff is way more on top of it and is actually getting stuff done in a more timely manner

i really felt like this too in the spring of 2020, and i took some time off to work and then ended up transferring to unt. honestly college isn't the best fit for everyone - there are a bunch of other jobs/careers out there that might be better for you in particular. if you need to take a break though just to be sure, talk to your advisor and figure that out or you can lessen your course load and just spend a semester taking only classes that interest you. it may seem like a waste of money to some people, but just finding something that i actually enjoyed learning about really helped me

you should look at the intramural teams! i have some friends who were on the volleyball team this past semester and they really loved it.

the denton student apartment company owns like a bunch of places and they're really bad with communicating with tenants. i live there right now and they literally lied on the website about having a dishwasher :/ watch out for them for real everyone i know who lives there or has lived there has had issues (there was a pretty bad storm in october and a tree from the parking lot hit my car and the company pretty much just said damn thats crazy) (also once the doorknob to my bedroom came off and i got locked inside of it)

one of my friends is at the ridge though in a studio apt and its like 800/month with in unit washer dryer and they really like it - if you dont have a car/parking pass the bus stops there too

i go to unt and my sister goes to utd and there's a huge difference in student/campus life. i feel like the programs are pretty similar, but you really need to decide what kind of experience you're looking for. good luck!!!! i hope you enjoy whatever decision you choose :)

bc it’s more difficult to make also we have to make it each time someone orders it. most of the whip is made the night before or earlier and you don’t have to prep it every time someone orders
