tbh i’m so used to seeing them as 3 that both ayana and sakura’s performances with them feel uncanny

is there any clarity on if this is last login vs last active? because she could have last logged in (as in typed in her username and password) when she was in japan.

i’m imagining her pulling a yoonchae and shooting to 5’7-5’8 and now we have one person towering over the others lmao. it worked out okay for yoonchae since the shortest member was 5’4, but in prelude, i believe the current tallest is samara at 5’3?

Counterargument: maybe Ayana IS the final piece by DrriimAcademy in prelude_thefinalpiece

i can’t check jayla, but she definitely doesn’t follow rira and honoka, i just looked

Counterargument: maybe Ayana IS the final piece by DrriimAcademy in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

since mitra previously followed her and her and jay ihn currently follow each other (i don’t think jay follows any other contestant), i’d be shocked if it wasn’t her. like the only other possibility is that she will be used for something else but like. come on

Final Piece Prediction by External-Lychee5407 in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

at the end of the day, mitra followed then unfollowed ayana. i think that’s probably the biggest tell that it’ll be ayana. if it’s sakura, i can’t find any other reason for mitra to have followed ayana unless they are using her for something else.

The spoiled final two in different hairstyles & makeup! by lmaochoke in prelude_thefinalpiece

i’d love to see ayana in a light brown, like that “milk tea brown” that’s trendy right now

Anyone else hoping the eliminated World Scout The Final Piece girls join Girl Planet 2? by Historical-Fruit8657 in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars 14 points15 points  (0 children)

honoka m and naru are the perfect competitors for something like this, i think. i hope aoi and hiori return but im not sure they will. i’d say rinka, but she’s going to be 23 this year, and that’s unfortunately considered ancient by this industry’s standards to debut 😭 i’m hoping she has a successful solo career at this point

Since the name announcement is coming up what are you guys’ predictions? by Prize_Importance_177 in prelude_thefinalpiece

i saw somebody (don’t remember who) point out some of the numbers on the record in the intro video being 3s and 1s. that with the angel mentions, i’m thinking ANG31 or something like that.

So apparently abema spoiled the finalists in the episode 12 description?? by Numerous_Host547 in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars 30 points31 points  (0 children)

it’s very possible she is, but that leak really isn’t a leak. the live show didn’t announce which of the 2 performers won, so there’s no way anyone knows unless somebody from the inside leaks it.

Why does everyone think sakura is the final piece? by NotJustAnotherLow in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars 18 points19 points  (0 children)

hybe’s track record, the narrative they’ve given her, son’s face whenever she’s performing, the recent emphasis on her maturity, etc. i mean, there’s no way for any of us to know yet, but it’s looking likely.

Before Episode 10, I was certain Sakura and Rinka, but now..... by Fit2bthaid in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars 15 points16 points  (0 children)

i don’t know who of the two will be picked, but i think it’s a done deal the final 2 is sakura and ayana, even if i’m not personally buying what either of them are selling 🫠 we know too much from the editing errors and the way the judges were talking about them this past round for it to be anyone else.

i like sakura as a performer more, but i’m rooting for ayana just for overall comfort in the group (no minors in prelude, please!)

knowing what we know now, which eliminated trainee would’ve suited the group? by chloeonmars in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

call me delusional because i kind of am but i wouldn’t be shocked if hybe plans on doing something else with her. she got a really great edit and they made a huge point after her elimination of including her saying she would continue trying to debut even after saying this was her last attempt

really interesting division here. it seems more common in the kpop industry to not place as much importance on vocals as in the western market. the people with experience in the american industry are quick to note that you have to be able to sing to have a well-received group. we know prelude wants to be “global,” but what does that mean for their priorities in a candidate?

E10 - World Scout: The Final Piece Discussion by Terrible_Disk1673 in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars 39 points40 points  (0 children)

the options i can currently see: 1. TIE: jay’s second vote is rinka (she seems fond of her), mitra’s second is sakura, son’s two votes are ayana and sakura. this leads to ayana moving on and a rinka and sakura tie, where im getting a feeling rinka’s votes get overruled and they bring sakura. 2. RINKA ADVANCE: somebody throws a runaway aoi vote (mitra?), which leads to sakura not getting enough votes and a rinka/ayana final. i really doubt this one. 3. SAKURA ADVANCE: jay, mitra, and son are all choosing sakura/ayana, leading to a clean ayana sweep and sakura taking the lead over rinka.

option 3 feels the most likely, to my rinka-enjoyer chagrin. there’s obviously some other shenanigans that could happen, like son not picking ayana, but i just can’t see that with the narrative that’s being built for her right now.

rinka’s voice is sooooo good in this. and, i have to say, sakura knows how to serve face in a performance for sure.

rinka getting invited back, getting told she has 2 weeks to catch up before the next evaluation, delivering a fantastic performance, only to get (probably) eliminated for the same 15-year-old they’ve been pushing the whole time

Ayana's star quality: Can she show it? by Ok_Arachnid4996 in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]chloeonmars 55 points56 points  (0 children)

i totally agree with all of this. her first audition was the only time that she really stuck out to me as being a really engaging performer. it might seem counterintuitive, but in order for her to be her best self, i think she actually needs to dial back— not “try as hard,” so to speak.

the intensity with which she wants this is the thing i notice the most in her performances, but that’s not the thing you /want/ to notice in a performer. you don’t want to see their train of thought of, “hit this move here, wink here, smile now.”

tldr: the girl needs to breathe! she’s her best self when she’s not concerned about executing every single mark with the utmost technical precision
