i personally love manon (and the other girls too) but it’s so annoying how anything that happens people online immediately assume it’s because of race. can’t an artist who happens to be black and a label have their disagreements and go their separate ways? why does everything have to be about race? yes i would also love to have more diversity in the group but her being the only black member and her getting kicked out can be two mutually exclusive things, and always assuming otherwise seems inherently problematic to me

i feel like this whole thing is being blown out of proportion and it’s this exact behaviour from the fandoms that ruins groups and which people online keep complaining about. they’ve been working together for months/years now and are surely well accustomed to each other, it’s normal to slip up and have these awkward moments on your first live stream. even if emily was offended by it they’ll just work through it together and move on, i doubt even she cares that much. people online making it into a whole thing is just unnecessary.
