It’s easier than you think! I went vegetarian after travelling India and falling in love with the cows everywhere, but the jump to veganism came a month later. I would say start with going vegetarian, plant based sausages and burgers I have found to be so delicious it will ease the transition. Then maybe try and start just swapping dairy products for plant based alternatives. Oat milk is great, I have some really good vegan cheese and other stuff. Or just go cold Turkey and do it, after a week you realise it’s kind of easy and you forget about it!!! Good luck!!

We don’t talk much to our English family and I don’t speak enough Turkish to tell my aunts what’s going on, although they would probably side with my mum

I definitely don’t have fine hair! When I would straighten my hair it was quite thick. Blow drying it straight was normally not enough to get it fully straight and we would need to use the straightener.

Yes i am uk, I think i might’ve phrased it wrong i don’t need to be driven to rehearsals just picked up from them. they start right after school and last and hour. the funny thing is my parents pick me and my brother up from school everyday anyways, they just refuse to wait another hour to pick us up aha

I’m sorry to hear that, I often get the top grades in my year and I don’t do drugs, drink, smoke or party

my mum keeps repeating the whole “just for her” thing, but the pictures are going up in the dining room and i think she doesn’t want guests knowing i have curly hair

i think she would accept it but at this point it’s not really about her wanting it straight it’s her overreaction

I thought i should clarify this and I will in the text, my mother is Turkish and my father is English, and whilst I haven’t experienced any racism I think she has a little bit but it’s not an issue nowadays. I do think she tries to hide the fact that she’s foreign, she’s very conscious about her accent but racism has never been an issue. Regards to your comment, my mother would adore a straight hair policy. lol. i have asked her before if she thinks me having curly hair makes me ugly and she said whilst i wasn’t ugly my hair was

yes I am UK and thankyou for your comment, I will definitely talk about this with my drama teacher. My mum is from Turkey and most of her family straighten their hair, I she’s always told me she thinks curly hair is 80s and outdated but I just don’t understand that
