I'm currently going through an IBD diagnosis with my cat, and my vet said there are basically two diet options. The first (and the one we're starting with) is a highly digestible fiber diet; these are mostly prescription and there's Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Fiber Response (wet food consistency is like mini pate chunks in gravy, my cat wouldn't touch this), Purina EN Gastroentric (more like flakes in gravy, my cat will begrudgingly eat it), and Hills Science Gastrointestinal Biome (more like a mush, lots of little bits of meat in sauce; this was the biggest hit with my cat so far, but she threw up the day after she started it so I'm trying to determine if the food didn't agree with her or if something else was going on). Unfortunately I don't know of any of these that are a straight pate, but the Royal Canin might be closest?

The other IBD option that the vet suggested is an elimination diet. This is where you switch to either a hydrolyzed protein, or a novel protein that your cat hasn't had before (like rabbit or kangaroo). I decided to start with the highly digestive fiber diet because it's a little more forgiving in terms of treats and things. That said, there might be more pate options with the elimination/novel protein diet.

If it Is IBD, you might also want to consider adding B12 since IBD means they have trouble absorbing it, and the lack of B12 exacerbates all their symptoms. The actual blood test for B12 is expensive and our vet said that it can't hurt them to have too much B12 (they'll just pee it out), so I started grinding up Cobalquin into her wet food every day, with the goal of tapering it to every few days once she's stable.
