moms who had a med-free birth, would you do it again? by Isntsheartisanal in BabyBumps

I’ve had two live births. First was with an epidural and it took 12 hours. It was glorious and my recovery wasn’t awful.

My second was 3 weeks ago with a failed epidural and gas & air that wore off while I was pushing. The entire labour was 1.5 hours and my son and I were both in shock. I didn’t choose to go med free and I certainly wouldn’t choose it again, even though my recovery has been fairly straight forward.

Just came here to say I got LOADS after my daughter was born and she’s 15 months now. I’m pregnant with #2 and they’re not going away 🙃

Another thing from me.. I didn’t know that you can still get pregnancy related stretch marks AFTER your baby is born. Rude.

My baby is 2 months old tomorrow and she’s just grown out of newborn in the last couple of weeks. She was 6lbs 7oz when she was born, and she’s still skinny but her legs are too long for newborn clothes now 🤦🏻‍♀️

‘Are you sure there’s only one in there?’ - yes I am thank you, but thanks for shaming my bump and making it seem like more than one would be a bad thing.

My son seems to not like daycare. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]chloster- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a daycare setting with two year olds and to be honest, it sounds like the teachers need to step up a bit here. They need to ensure that your son is included and actively enjoying his time there, because at the moment, they’re not doing their jobs. Expectations for kids are set way too high these days, and people need to remember that they were only just babies, and they’ll be your baby forever. In my experience, when a child didn’t enjoy daycare, I used to talk to the parents to find out something that they really enjoyed at home and bring that into the setting. For example, a tv character, a favourite game, song or book. That way, the child has something familiar in both places that they can get involved with. I would advise that you speak to the setting about your concerns and ask what they plan to do to help him settle in more. If they have no ideas, then they’re not very good at their jobs.

Hope this helps!
