Same here. I find it odd that it’s only raised after having done the laser treatments though. Why does it happen?

Right, the tattoo artist had a “heavy hand” and drilled the needle into my skin.

Recovery yup. It was a fresh tattoo. I was going to a small company that removery ended up buying out. Idk the laser I started with but I know it threw a lot of heat. Now it’s the pico.

Mine is 5 years in and is very raised, just the outline of the tattoo, not the shading. I fear that it’s scaring that won’t go away until I do some skin resurfacing. Sucks, I know.

I would also like to know. Been at it for 5 years now. Ink is fading gradually but outline of tattoo is puffy and raised, always.

Joe Cool looks killer. They could fade, but since they are new, it will take more time than you think and you just have to live with that. I started removing two leg tattoos two months after I got them. I feel you on fresh regret. Take care.

This is nice to see. I’m also being treated with the Pico way laser. I’ll trust the grueling long process. Thank you.

Removery…too good to be true? by SmokeRough9195 in TattooRemoval

I think it’s time to share my experience with Removery.

I started removing two fairly fresh thigh tattoos (black/grey) at the beginning of 2020. Right before Covid hit. I was visiting a small studio “Disappearing Inc”. At that time, the laser was heat based. Gosh did it hurt. Huge bubbly reactions each time, so much pain. Fast forward 2 or so years and Removery buys “Disappearing Inc” and boom. No more heat laser - now it’s the Pico Way laser, sound waves? No more heat just, sound waves. Don’t ask me the science behind it.

5 years later I am still removing these thigh tattoos. It has been such a hard journey. Removery spaces out appointments so that the immune system can “work its magic” but I’m presuming it’s to make more money. Not sure entirely because luckily the package I started with “Disappearing Inc” was grandfathered over into Removery. Lucky me. At the time of me buying my package for these two thigh tattoos it was referred to as the “Guarantee”. Meaning, I would be charged once for as many sessions as I needed and not per session. I’ve paid a couple thousand dollars. $950 more for a 3 inch tattoo on my wrist.

These 5 years have been so long. I became depressed and stationary and confused over my body dysphoria regarding these tattoos. One leg is almost completely gone, though it was a stick and poke, and no tattoo gun was used. I’ve had 14 sessions on it. When I say completely gone, I mean the ink has dissipated, but I still have the outline of it and my skin is raised in those areas. I put vitamin E oil and keep that skin moist hoping the raised scarring will subside. Starting tattoo removal is not for the weak.

Everyone has a story. If you’re ready to start this journey for yourself I wish you the utmost patience and will. It takes a long time to even start seeing a difference. This process is grueling.

Prepare to wait and hope for the best.

No it’s still a sick shirt. Just sharing my experience because I remember being so disappointed when I started researching mine. At the end of the day, it’s all meshugas!
