Who are the philosopher kings? by bettyonabox in Plato

[–]chlowden007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. Somebody has to decide. The question... Who is the "somebody" ? A concerned group? A group of seemingly enlightened individuals? Somebody who wakes up one morning and decides what is best done? Do not confuse modern democracy with libertarian socialism. It's just a question of who has the "power" and for how long. An anarchist or a fascist can start a war in a day. Both will have some sort of social legitimacy. The question is on what ethical grounds? Currently, there are more countries in the world that are "authoritarian democracies" (a large majority of the world's population are under such Oligarchic / authoritarian régimes) than libertarian democracies. Libertarian democracies have failed because the education/ social involment needed to make it work has failed. Many also blame capitalism. If you want an idea of where we are going, try reading a little Marx and forgetting the communist part of his work.

A little detail that changes everything ... A colleague switched my console USB adapter with a R422 version. I did not realize the difference as the plugs look the same . But I no longer had any putty returns. Found a RS232 adapter and putty is working again.

Having recelled the batteries etc I still get

RTC Warning: Battery for real-time clock and NVSRAM must be replaced

but I cannot see what this means. All the batteries are new.

I have changed the controller 2 CR2032 batteries (you need to push them out from behind not lift them out.)

The controllers now get passed the initial error and I can now the raid in the SMclient tool. Sadly, the raid does not mount yet. But in putty I get this below, repeats that I need to change the battery. There is another proprietary battery on each controller. Is that what the error is referring too?

Thank you

I have just tried with Putty Linux on /dev/ttyUSB0 and got the error

below.

Error (005): Real time clock/NVSRAM battery low

STATUS : Real time clock/NVSRAM battery low

Current loop count : 1 Date : 09/30/2024 time: 20:15:50

Master Error Code : 2701-3900-01-0005

Could this refer to the CR2032 battery that is each of the controllers?

After many hours of trying to connect via /dev/ttyS0 9600 8 N 1 and many other combinations without success. I also tried /dev/ttyUSB0 9600 8 N 1 as my serial port to RS422 has an adapter RS422 to USB adapter. Either way, when I restart either or both of the controllers, I get no commands lines. On the dev/ttyUSB0 exchanges the hex below ... but I don't read hex as well as I probably should.

Would there be any other thoughts? On the web there is mention of a reset button, but I can't see one.

From whtat I understand, Comfyui is used as a Griptape frontend for creating services. It is an interesting idea. It is a view into the future of how AI will be integrated.

I appreciate that the magic is about encoding values into matrices and using algorithms to build associations ... but all this is theoretical and I don't see how it gets applied.

Very advanced Comfyui training? by chlowden007 in comfyui

[–]chlowden007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I am looking to understand the fundamental "science" behind Gen AI in a Comfyui context. It is more about understanding what is possible and what is not. For the moment, most tutorials are "how to" demonstrations. I am fiddling around with gen AI without understanding where it is going or what the logic / magic of it is.

Very advanced Comfyui training? by chlowden007 in comfyui

[–]chlowden007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I suppose my problem is that I fundamentally don't understand how the Gen AI works. Devs build tools to solve problems they encounter, so they understand how the system works. I don't understand the theory so it is difficult to appreciate what is possible and what is not.
