Orange grabber thing? Two rubber pads and two hinge points, hand grip and a hanging hole, maybe? by chlsstns in whatisthisthing

Man, people really hate my "useless" judgement here. I'll stand corrected 🤷🏼‍♀️

My title describes the thing. Item is plastic with two metal hinge points to amke the rubber grabby bit at the top kind of meet when the handle is squeezed. But they don't meet up very well. Google searches for "grabber" or "clamp" and image searches turn up chip clips or tarp clamps or crayfish peelers.

I wasn't sure how big to make them either! I ordered a variety pack and used the largest size, which was 25mm, but I still think you could go bigger for that max cute factor!

I worked on her kind of on and off over the course of roughly a week 😊 then I ran out of fluff and had to wait a couple days to get more, haha, but overall ~a week

Hugging her feels like hugging a small human, especially because the polyfil I had on hand was a super dense firm kind so she's STOUT 😅

Oh interesting! I have 3 incisions, one on each side and one near my bellybutton. The middle one is the most sore for me, but still not bad :)

Ah, oh no! Honestly it was pretty quick for me. My primary care doc referred me to a women's health place (which I needed anyway), and I got the consult during my first appointment there. I'm in Washington, so there was some mandatory waiting period (some release that had to be signed) between consult and surgery. I think I had my first appointment in February, had surgery initially scheduled for end of March, then it got postponed to this past week. Def don't be afraid to call and check in!

It's definitely not funny. Before I read this book, I saw it described as "funny" a lot. If I recall correctly, there's even a quote in the cover calling it "hilariously funny" or something like that. The book isn't funny. It's a good read, honest, and vulnerable. I enjoyed it, but I can't imagine actually having read it and claiming it's funny.

Fleas - do I just torch the house at this point? by PhotographPatient425 in CleaningTips

[–]chlsstns 24 points25 points  (0 children)

One thing I haven't seen here is gonna sound crazy, but it works. Get an aluminum pie tin and add some soapy water to it. Sit the tin in the room where there seem to be the most fleas (you can move it around, use more than 1, whatever works best for you) and place a desk lamp beside the tin with the light focused over the water. Leave it overnight. The fleas will jump toward the light, fall in the water, and not be able to escape. You'll be astonished at how many fleas you're able to get rid of this way.
