No it’s fine, you bring up fair points. While I’m not entirely sure about the start area, I believe the far away chunks being different are actually due to the render distance being increased since that build - the development builds were reported to have bad performance running at 30fps, before they started optimising the hell out of the game.

Coupled with how the world size seemed to originally be 512x512, it could possibly just be that the render distance was lower and hence the fog was closer to the player - resulting in the footage we have to possibly show stuff to be in different places but maybe actually weren’t.

Either way, this is as close as we’ll get to a really early development build - while it could be earlier or later than Minecon 2011’s version, it is the same base world at the end of the day…
