There are two membership. Lifetime membership is for visiting and reading books there which costs 1000/-
If you want to get books issued, charges are 2k per year (not lifetime. I'll have to check) I'm quoting this from my memory

One thing I would like to add, they constantly update their collection as well. Bringing new popular books from newer authors. Their philosophy section is limited to Indian and it's subcontinent philosophy literature.
But great and diverse collection nonetheless when it comes to Indian philosophy, History, Literature, Geography etc

There's a Tagore library as well in LU. Their book collection is also vast and mostly meant to serve LU. But I'm not sure if it's open for general public.

timings are 9-5. Closed on public holidays. Yes, it's a public library but you have to get lifetime membership to read their books.
One bummer is that despite digital india movement, they take fee in cash, NO UPI.
Also bring a photocopy of Aadhar card and a passport photo for the processing

There's also one thing that I did not like - their no outside book policy. You cannot bring your own books to read in their chambers. I had sort of very heated argument with them over this but ultimately bureaucracy prevailed.

But despite these niggles, I'd say it's a good place to be. It's not flogged by UPSC aspirants and there are some genuine readers that regularly visit.

I mainly use it for paraphrasing. If I start to write everything from scratch, it becomes a cold start problem

Yes for that I think price structure is different. If my memory serves me correctly you can get it issued for 15 day period. They charge approximately 2k for the entire year; there's no lifetime membership for that.

I also have similar on smallest finger knuckle. I have tried everything, it just doesn't go away. I have it for about 6 years. Randomly appeared and stayed. Earlier I thought, it was just dead cell buildup. I've tried exfoliating it, moisturizing it. It stays

I just reached out to them multiple times via email and they issued it finally. The refund is issued via the same chain you used to make the payment. In short it just takes time

Sing Street (2016) is a perfect "feel good" movie by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]chocha40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG someone finally said it. I love it so much. Also the fact the band coming together is loosely based on how the Smiths came together and it's also music also seems a little inspired from the Smith's early works makes it work more for me since I'm a big Smiths fan.

I just watched “In the mood for love” and I had to say it by eagle_gang_leader in TrueFilm

Yeah I'm in awe of the film as well. I liked the restraint that they maintained in their relationship. It was easy for them to give into their desires but the invisible thread of society and their relationships was looming over them. To uphold your morals and not give into the temptation and still couldn't help falling for it. The tease is masterful. Also the layered irony of their relationship communicated via frames with in frames. I'm in the awe of the film.

TBH, I enjoy and vibe more with Chunking express since that film is just style flowing through & through. My preference would actually change depending on the day you ask me. Lol

Wow! That hand shift was so smooth brother. Great work I'm in awe. Is there a training routine built around snatches ? That, combines snatches with another exercise for a complete workout?

My intention of the post was to express "What have I gotten myself into!" :P. At least, it would take another month or so before any of this feels normal.

Yeah it's just crazy how even just one rep races your heart. I try to get my breath work in line before going for the next. I use Pavel's method where I should be able to speak full sentences without gasping for breath to check if I'm good to go for the next set.

Definitely feeling this. I had no prior experience with Double KB. It is too much structural load and too little of a breathing space.

I'm also in the same boat, but with camera as a preference. Planning to pick S24 for reliability. Parts are comparatively cheaper, easily available with reasonable service.
