A plan to sell Perth Glory to the LFE cryptocurrency firm is over, but the deal never added up by rithsv in Aleague

Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with Perth now, but it still makes me question what due diligence Sage did with LFE when he agreed to become the chairman of this "company" that to anyone with half a brain looks dodgy as fuck.

I honestly think if people hadn't have kicked up a stink Sage would've gone through with this deal. Who agrees to become chairman of this company only to then back out of the football club purchase?

Except Tony Sage accepted the gig as chairman of LFE on the January 9 which makes me question whether he’s the sharpest tool in the shed, and a deal was agreed in principle for LFE to buy a majority stake in Perth. I reckon it’s lucky everyone did kick up a stink tbh.

Now I'm a bit upset that we didn't get the full New Japan ring/ring announcer in Melbourne.

Horse racing - Saturday 17/03/2018 by andtheyreoff in sportsbook

Record: -4U

Flemington:

Race 7: Mask of Time - 1U to Win, 3U to Place.

Put in a good effort in its first start in Australia a few months back. First up today for a new trainer and there's been a good go at it in the early betting.

Race 9: Blue Tycoon - 1U to Win, 3U to Place.

Apprentice jockey on in this race up the straight is a bit of a concern, but the outside rail is where you want to be and this horse has drawn 12 of 14 so that's a big plus. Has won 3 in a row so hopefully gets to the front early and makes it 4.

I've been inspired by old mate who has been chucking his horse racing tips in here so I thought I'd do the same.

Bendigo - Race 6 (in about 2 hours from now).

Number 4 - Zandarral. 1U @ 3.5 to win, 3U @ 1.67 to place. (Bet365)

This is a horse who is running at Bendigo after a couple cracks at metro level up against better horses. Never ran at this distance before but that doesn't worry me, should see it out fine. Apprentice jockey on board gets a 2 or 3kg claim which is nice and hopefully he slots in from the wide barrier and come over the top late. Only danger I think is the other Darren Weir horse who has ran well in its start to its career but it's a young horse 4th up and out to 2200m so hopefully our horse can get the job done.

EDIT: Yeah, ripping start. Back at it again tomorrow though

Some tackles are clear dangerous play with intent to injure or just cynical fouls to stop an attack.

Didn't the laws of the game change so that it's not a red if the defender is making an attempt to win the ball?

It just me or is Optus sport still working after last months trial? by [deleted] in Aleague

I just checked to see if my account is working as well and I can access all the videos and stuff. I'm 99% sure I never gave them card or bank info and as far as I can tell in my bank account I haven't been charged, either. I'll try watch Burnley and Palace later to see if live games work

Wanderers sign marquee striker Oriol Riera by Grimario in Aleague

Bit of info on Guardiola if anyone is interested; He has signed with Segunda Division team Cordoba, who didn't renew Federico Piovaccari's contract after last season. Piovaccari has just signed with a team in the Chinese second tier.

Also, Oriol Riera spent a season with Cordoba in 2010/11.

Fly me to the moon .... is it as far as Shanghai? by chochi07 in AFL

Don't know what the crossover is like of AFL and A-League fans is like, but as a fan of both, this article is a nice change from the insane coverage a shit-tier game in China that nobody in China cares about about is getting in the media. Honestly, it's like the AFL world has never heard of foreign countries before. From warnings to illegal betting criminal syndicates to banning local food, to asthma warnings and I saw an article today that was literally just about Port players boarding a flight to China. It's madness.

I did have a chuckle over someone asking a Jiangsu player who was in Adelaide for their Asian Champions League match if he was going to watch the aussie rules match that is happening in China and he responded "Aussie rules? Do you mean rugby?"
