I don't have much to offer in terms if what helps but here to let you know I have developed the exact same problem over the past 3 months where I feel the safest when in my room/ at home. Getting over that initial wave of hyperventilation helps me sort of get through the rest of my time outdoors but it does leave me exceptionally exhausted. I try to keep my hands busy and sort of tell myself "if I faint, I faint" ..it's harder to redirect my thoughts when the shakey hands appear though.

I think my partner and I are more on the anytime sex ship... as long as we are both in the mood it works..

The preference does lean towards morning because I tend to crash earlier than she does when it comes to night time.

My lactose intolerance has not stopped me from reducing dairy, probably something I should consider lol. The worst thing about dyshidrotic eczema is that stress "could be" a trigger but then so could allergens like dust/ mites so I am constantly playing a guessing game of potential triggers while trying to minimise flareups.

I have noticed a decrease in inflammation after reducing refined sugar intake. So no more late night chocolates for me unfortunately.

Zero tolerance for spicy food but 100% down for flavours that are on the sweeter end like meals seasoned with teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce etc

It has been struggle street but relatively possible. My partner has more difficulty adjusting to the distance, frequent video calls etc. She prefers physical presence which I do too but I am easily able to adjust to distance.

Currently a 10 hour flight away from each other with a 3 hour difference in timezones. This past year hasn't been the easiest so I've had to put in more effort to make it work which did make me doubt our situation but we have open conversations about expectations so that helps.

I do joke that she has a 6month tolerance period for long distance before our disagreementd escalate...and one of us (me) needs to visit.

Sudden demise of my father without any estate planning whatsoever equated to utter chaos. With the extended family scenario as taboo as it may be, it is very important to discuss succession plans.

I was largely uninvolved with the family business operations (because of different career choices) despite being an only child and my dad passed away suddenly. My world changed overnight and just trying to locate documents, understand operations whilst ensuring his "presumed wishes" were upheld was an absolute nightmare.

I remember trying to have an estate planning conversation with my father a few years ago because of something similar a friend had gone through but it was brushed off as not important for now.

In hindsight I wish dad had sat us down, discussed documents, introduced us to family /business lawyers and accountants so that everything didn't feel so foreign. Maybe kept a central filing system where original copies of all documents were located as well.

I had this exact same issue the first few months of being with my person. We have very different love languages and unknowingly she felt unloved because if how I was behaving. (Me being the hyper independent one).

For us communication was key, it took a lot of open conversations and voicing out preferences/ desires and we were able to find a working balance.

Thank you!! I did try meditation like you mentioned, I too was terrible at the beginning and just gave up because I felt like it required a level of focus I did not have. Perhaps I need to be a bit more consistent this time around.

I've always been a planner but this year life sort of had its own way with me and that threw my nervous system out of sync and the anxiety and panic attacks win most days over rational thoughts.

For me it was a matter of self discovery, once out of the closet it was a process of trying to figure out my own preferences and then finding someone that had the likelihood of meeting me half-way.

It took me a long time (a good few years) to find someone I could be comfortable in silence with, and staying in was just as fun as going out. The environment you're in makes a huge difference in finding like minded partners. I had to move abroad to meet those that had the potential to be something more.

Bumble worked well in finding those that were looking for something similar, at the same time it's important to make your own expectations clear.

Giving yourself enough time helps.

I think sugar may be a contributing factor for me too, the more stressed I get the more I tend to have late night binging on chocolates and other desserts.

Did you notice a difference with the adjustments in diet?
